I don't know what I was thinking. All I wanted was to get out if this death trap. Jax was more confused than ever, and so was I.
The bulky men looked over at me and I panicked. I hit the first man in the nose and I heard a cringing snap. I'm pretty sure I broke his nose.
"God damn it!" The other yelled as he ran for me. I kicked my foot to his chest and flipped him to the cement floor, hearing two crunching sounds, the mans back and my wrist.
"Are you fucking crazy?!" Jax yelled as he grabbed a gun and effortlessly shot both men in the back, killing them.
"Yes," I answered honestly. I grabbed the other gun and we ran out to the gates.
As we got to the edge of the fence, I looked up at it. It was almost as tall as the building. It didn't help that it was raining too.
"That was a waste of a bullet," Jax said. "Let's go back. How are we going to get over that?"
"Climb." I was almost mad that he was giving up.
"You have fun with that."
I looked over at him with angered eyes.
"So you're giving up?" I asked.
"There's barbed wire up there. You wouldn't get out alive," he said, making me more and more angered.
"Watch me." I started to climb the wired fence, it was difficult, but I finally made it to the top, stopping at the barbed top.
"Get down before you'll kill yourself!" He yelled up to me. I ignored him and continued.
I slowly reached my leg to the other side of the wire, scraping my leg as it cut open my already ripped jeans. I could feel the warm blood dripping down my leg, but I didn't stop. As I reached my other leg over, I stumbled. I could hear Jax's gasp.
"Sora, stop!"
I was glad I made it without any major injuries. Then, I got stupid. Not thinking, I grabbed the top, where the sword like wire was. I could feel the spikes sinking into the palm of my hand and I fell back, flying off the fence. As I hit the ground, I look to my side to see nothing but blood and my head throbbed with the worst pain. Even worse than my bloodied hand.
"Sora! Are you okay?!" Jax's voice was like an echo to me. The pain was too loud to hear anything clearly. But I did hear the clinging of the fence then the plopping of feet on the ground.
"You're too stupid for words," Jax said, smiling slightly
"But I'm not dead." I was copping what he said when I first met him. Then, I smiled too.
"Can you stand?" He asked.
I tried, but the pain was too strong. The best I could do was sit up.
"I guess I can carry you."
I felt his arms wrap around my back and legs and I relaxed. After a while, I rested my head on his chest, more comfortable that ever.
"I'm taking you home," he said. My eyes widened.
"No! You can't!" I yelled with my cracked voice.
"Chill out. I guess I could just take you to my place," he suggested. I then went back to relaxing. "I like you better when you're in pain. You're a little less frustrating. And annoying."
"Shut up," I told him, wincing at the pain of my hand and head.
It took a while, but we finally reached his house. It was small, but looked better than the rain.
It was brown, and in the middle of the woods. There were no cars so I assumed he lived alone.
Once we got in, he set me on the couch carefully.
"Take off your jeans," he told me.
"What?" I was so confused.
"Your leg. We need to clean up the blood," he explained.
"Right." I unzipped my jeans and pulled then down half we and Jax pulled off the rest. I could tell he was holding back his grin.
"I'll be right back," he said as he went into the bathroom. I heard a cupboard close and he was back, holding a bottle of alcohol and an old rag.
"What are we going to do? Just roam the streets? Be homeless?" I asked, a bit scared.
"I have a home. I don't know about you though," he said.
I forgot that I didn't like him. I'm even surprised he's helping me.
"I was kidding," he said as he smiled and kneeled in front of me. "I'm not leaving you. You won't survive a day."
"You keep saying that. Do I look dead to you?"
"With all the blood it looks like you just jumped off a cliff," he said.
"How did you not get a scratch from that fence?"
"I've done it before."
He places the wet rag to my leg and I almost screamed. The pain was even worse.
"Relax," Jax reminded me.
I tried but every time he touched it, I would wince at the pain.
"Anything else?" He asked, bandaging my hand and wrist.
"Not yet."
When he put down the bandages, he sat next to me and gave me a sweatshirt. He must have notice me shivering. I took the sweatshirt and put it around my shoulders.
"Better?" He asked.
"Yeah." I sat and snuggled into his side and closed my eyes gently with a small smile. He slowly put his arm around me and I fell asleep instantly.
I have never slept better in my entire life. I woke up, still cuddled into Jax who was watching a movie on the TV.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," I said back quietly. "Can I use your shower?"
"Go ahead. I'll be here."
I got up, still in pain, and hopped to the bathroom.
I took off the sweatshirt Jax gave to me last night and let my hair down. After I took off the last of my clothes, I turned on the shower and got in.
I could see all the dirt from my hair swirl down the drain. I've never been so dirty before.
Then, I heard Jax. But not in the living room. He wasn't talking either. I just heard his footsteps. I stopped for a second to listen.
The glass door of the shower opened slowly and Jack stepped in, slowly. I was in shock, then noticed he was totally undressed.
My eyes widened as he held my face and kissed me, it felt like it lasted forever.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I don't even know."
He slowly pinned me to the shower wall and kissed me deeply and closely. And I liked it and I don't know why.
