Stefans POV

It has been a couple days since we were all together like good ol times, I smirk at this thought. Things haven't been defined as "good" in a while. We decided to split up in search for Klaus, he's the only lead we have and it's a start. A direction to somewhere, hopefully. Caroline follows close behind me, as we make our way back into the French Quarter, the heart of New Orleans.
"You know, since Klaus has such a deep loving heart I figured we would find him somewhere down here." I say, turning my head back towards the other person trailing back a few steps from us. Caroline laughs as she comes up beside me..
I guess you are wondering who the second person is, well it's the beloved Katherine herself. I didn't think leaving her with Damon and Elena would be very smart, considering Elena has a been a bit out of sorts lately. Understatement of the year, I know.
Caroline cuts into my thoughts, "So, do you really think Klaus is the cause of whatever this demonic... creepy thing is?"
I look over at her, still smiling from my thoughts. "I think he knows something. There is a reason why he took Elena in the first place, and it wasn't to help her."
Caroline pauses, but she doesn't respond. She just takes it all in. Reality is starting to set in with her. "I hope Bonnie is okay.........." her words trail off..
"I'm sure she will be okay, Caroline. She's a fighter, she's strong. She will make it through this." I say, trying to ease her worries.
Katherine makes her way up to my other side, grabbing my hand and folding her fingers over mine. I glance down, wondering whether to pull away. I decide to keep it there, not to create conflict. I notice Caroline tense up a little out of the corner of my eye. But just keep walking, keeping my focus on where we are headed.
We make our way into the Quarter, people swarm the streets. Caroline and Katherine are looking through the people trying to spot anyone who may know where Klaus is, or Klaus himself. Caroline grabs my arm suddenly, and discreetly directs my eyes over to Rebekah.
"What do we do?" she asks, nervously.
"I'll go over there, and talk to her. You two wait here." I say.
I walk slowly over to her, she brings her eyes to mine realizing who she's looking at. She begins to stand up to turn and walk away, but I vamp speed over to her.
"What do you know?" I inqure, my eyes narrowing.
"I dont' know what you are talking about." she sneers back.
"Then why be so defensive?" I ask.
"Because you come up to me, already assuming I know something. It pisses me off. People think that just because I am related to the poeple I am related too, that I know everything that goes on within our family. I can asure you, your issue isn't with me because I haven't heard or seen anything about any of you in months, so don't come up to me in a accusatory manner."
I look past her, trying to keep an eye out. "I'm sorry.. that wasn't right of me." I stammer.
"Thank you." she responds cooly.
"How's the family?" I ask trying to lighten the mood.
She laughs at this a bit, "As screwed up as always."
"Yeah... it seems Klaus is causing quite a tussle with us, Elena is experiencing these black outs, she's seeing things, feeling things, and she's losing herself. It's taking over her more and more as time passes...." I say quietly.
Her eyebrows squeeze together, "Something is possesing Elena is that what I'm hearing? Why do you think it's Klaus that has anything to do with it? He's been cleaning up things around here since... her voice trails off. Nevermind."
I ponder whether to push for the information she's holding.. but I decide I should wait, she doesn't seem to be in the mood to give up vital information. I know Rebekah, she has a heart in there. And she's been known once or twice to give into it and do the right thing. It would probably be in our best interest to get her on our side.... but it's going to take some effort, so I decide I'm not going to push anything but let her think I'm confiding in her...
I look into her eyes and say slowly, "He took her, Rebekah. About a month ago, when we moved right outside of the city, she was struggling with blood lust..... and he found out somehow, he bonbarded her and in her weakness she decide to finally give in to her temptations. When we found her, she had no memory of what she had seen or experienced. Until the other day when she blacked out and her memory of everything came back. She went into great detail. She even saw Alaric, and as we all know.... he's been dead for months now. There is a lot more to it then that... but Klaus is the only lead we have..... and we are really alone in all this, just trying to get her back. Because she is really losing it, Rebekah. She isn't even herself most of the time."
She cuts in, "Why should I help you?" she asks in all seriousness.
"Because, you are a loop hole. Klaus may not seem like it, but he cares about you and you are his sister. You could be a source of information. You've always been good at getting your way."
I smile at her, knowing she knows exactly what I am referring too. With our history and all.
"Look, Klaus and I aren't seeing eye to eye right now. He's going mad, and he's very angry at the moment after everything that's been happening here. I don't agree with 99% of the things he does, or has done. He daggered me for 50 years, so I will always be weary of him... He's still my brother and I love him.. but it hasn't been in my best interest to get involved and close with his little operations."
I part my lips to respond but she continues, "But, I will agree to help you, because there is something I want in return......"
"What?" I ask....
She looks into my eyes very concentrated on what she's about to say, "I want to figure out a way to break the sire bond between Klaus and Marcel.........Not for myself, we need him... not just for his aliance but for Elena............."
