"Jimin?"
"Yes?"
"Why are we doing this again?"
"Because fifteen minutes earlier, you told us that you want to live an adventure. So we're doing that now. For heaven's sake, Layla, is there something with your memory?"
"No. But when I said I want an adventure, I expected something like skydiving at least a decade later. Not... this."
Layla looked from the shopping cart that Jimin was holding to Jungkook and Tae at the other end of the ramp escalator. Each one of them was standing at a side in front of the ramp. Behind them, Jinny was standing in the middle, holding her hands in front of her as if about to catch something.
Layla looked back at Jimin, who was waiting patiently for her.
"Is it safe?" she asked after clearing her throat.
Jimin scoffed. "Why wouldn't it be safe?"
"Should I trust him?" Layla shouted to Yoongi, Hoseok, and Seokjin, who were standing at the side.
"If there isn't a 40% percent chance you'll snap your neck, then yes. It's safe," Yoongi retorted.
"Don't worry! We'll catch you!" Jinny shouted encouragement to Layla.
Layla took a deep breath, considering the cons. If everything went fine as they expected, she'll be okay. If it didn't, there was a chance she might get hurt. And it won't really be easy to explain what happened to her parents. But also, she wants to do that. She needed to feel alive-
'Screw that,' Layla thought. 'I won't ruin my chance when I have one.'
"Fine," Layla voiced out her decision. "I'm in."
She jumped into the shopping cart and tried to adjust herself. The feeling of the net-shaped metal wasn't at all comforting as her rear end pressed onto it.
Jimin smiled triumphantly as he held the shopping cart.
"Guys, I'm not sure about that," Hoseok said uncertainly.
"Why?" Layla shrugged. "Yoongi said there is a 60% chance I'll survive."
"Yes, bu-"
"Be positive!"
"Ok, Layla. Get out of this shopping cart. You'll break your neck!" Seokjin said.
"But we want an adventure." Jimin pouted.
"I would say yes if there wasn't a possibility someone will break his or her neck. We have this possibility. And also another possibility that the security guard won't look so happy if he found us."
"Nobody comes here," Jimin said matter-of-factly. "This part of the mall is abandoned."
"Still.."
Layla would have ignored them and done this anyway, but her conscience was making her feel guilty and terrified.
"I agree with Jin," Layla spoke up.
Jimin pouted at her sadly.
"Sorry," she said. "But he's got a point."
"C'mon!" Jinny said from down the turned-off ramp. "I won't be waiting all night!"
They were about to give in when a familiar voice shouted, "What are you all doing?!"
They all turned around so quickly to the source of the voice. They turned so quickly that somehow Jimin's hands collided with the shopping cart and pushed it forward.
