"What did you two do? Tell me!" Jinny screamed as she jumped on the balls of her feet.

"Why do you have to know?" Layla scoffed.

"Because I'm your bestie!" Jinny gasped. "Are you jeopardizing our friendship? FOR HIM!"

"What? No!"

"You're betraying me for the lies of your heart?" Jinny put a hand on her forehead dramatically. Then she pretended to choke. "THE HORROR!!"

Layla rolled her eyes. She was totally done. "You better stop or I'm going to kick you!"

"Somebody help! Tae! Tae! Help! She's been brainwashed!"

Taehyung came into the room. "What is going on here?"

"Jin is training for drama class," Layla said sarcastically.

"And then death!" Jinny went still. "And so came the death of Layla-Juliet. Alas! Love is indeed blind."

"Alright, get off the floor." Tae nudged Jinny with his foot.

"How do you deal with her?" Layla asked him.

He snorted. "Who said I do?"

Jinny stands up, dusting off her pyjama pants. She turned to them and said, "I think I should pursue an acting career."

"Definitely," Layla says. "But until then enough of the drama. We're still friends."

"Wait. A. Minute." Jinny raises her hand in a police officer manner. "Where's the 'best' before friends. You dropped it!"

Layla rolled her eyes. "Enough of this! Are you seriously doing all of this because you're jealous?"

"What! Me? Jealous! Jealous of what exactly?"

"Oh, God. Girl fight!" Tae muttered. "Better get out of here."

He left the room as Layla and Jinny had their staring contest. Layla crossed her arms defiantly, then decided to drop her gaze.

"This is stupid!" She exclaimed.

"You still didn't tell me what I'm jealous about," Jinny snapped.

"Look at how you're acting!" Layla waved at Jinny. "Ever since you knew about Jimin and me, you've been acting like this. If there's only one reason for you to do this, it's jealousy."

"Pfft. I'm - I... You know what? Never mind." Jinny raised her hand in defeat before going go the table and started eating sweets. "Food is the best friend."

"And then you eat it."

The sound of the doorbell interrupted them both. A few seconds later the door opened, and there were some voices.

Layla peeked out of the room to find Tae and Jimin talking. Jimin smiled at Layla when he noticed her. She blushed and hid back in the room.

"What?" Jinny asked.

"Nothing," Layla managed to say as she tried to stop her cheeks from permanently getting stuck as red.

"And by the way, there's nothing I should be jealous about. I just feel a bit lonely and crazy lately."

Layla put on a face. Lies.

"Hey, there, ladies. You look lovely today," Jimin remarked as he entered the room. Layla giggled and Jinny rolled her eyes.

"Suck it up, stuffy cheeks," Jinny said loudly.

"You know what? Why do I even try to be nice to you?" Jimin murmured, and he sat on the couch.

"So what are you doing here?" Jinny asked Jimin after some time.

"Is it illegal to spend time with my friend?And-" He paused and turned to Layla, "-girlfriend."

"Ew," Jinny flinched. "Romance is gross."

"You're the one who doesn't know affection!"

Jinny gasped dramatically.

"Babies, enough fight!" Tae said. "Should we watch a movie?"

"Yes. Yes. Yes!" Jinny shouted, punching the air. "What should we put on?"

"I only know English movies." Layla raised her hands in an I'm-out-of-this manner.

"Like Titanic?" Jimin remarked.

"No. I didn't even watch it."

"I have a good movie," Tae said. "Just sit down and don't fight."

"I'll go bring popcorn!" Jinny said and hurried to the kitchen.

"Somebody look dreamy," Ace comments as he takes a look at Layla's face. "So what did you do?"

"Just watched a movie." Layla shrugged.

"Like that stage play?"

"Yea- Hold on, how do you know!?" Layla jumped off the couch so fast she almost stumbled down.

Ace shrugged. "I was hanging out where you guys were."

Layla's jaw dropped. "You were spying on me!?"

"More like being a good brother, but you're welcome anyways."

"I didn't give you permission!" Layla almost screamed.

"I'm older so I don't need one."

Layla looked at him, not believing what she had happened. Her brother was spying on her! While she was on her date (kind of)!!

"But we should worry about something else," Ace noted. "While you were outside yesterday, Mom and Dad got into a fight. It might have been worse if I didn't intervene. Actually, things are much worse right now."

"What!" Layla exclaimed. "Why didn't you say something!?"

"Because you'll freak out. Like you are doing right now." He paused. "Look, this is really bad, and it's out of our hands. We must something!"

"What will we do?" Layla said desperately. "This can't happen! I can't leave after my life became better here." She choked on tears.

"Don't worry. We'll figure a way." He walked over and gave her a small hug.

'Hopefully,' he added in his thoughts.
