Patton

Patton smiled up at the dot in the sky that was Virgil. Turning around, he trotted back into the cottage. As he went past Remy, he took their sunglasses off and put the glasses on a side table.

Walking into a spare-room that would soon be Virgil's, Patton started setting up the bed to be suitable for a harpy.

Nudging a pillow aside with his hoof, he picked up a large duvet and flopped it onto the mattress.

Patton continued working on the room until Virgil arrived back, holding a box and his backpack full of his belongings.

"Virgil! I got your room ready!"

"Thanks pop-star!"

"You gave me a dad-themed nickname! Kiddo!"

Virgil put the box and bag in the corner of the room and looked around, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"This looks great, dad" he murmured softly, taking in the soft golden fairy-lights and the black bed covers.

"You can take off your shoes, kiddo! I'm sure your feet will want to stretch!"

"Oh, right."

Virgil tugged off his shoes and his taloned bird feet stretched out happily.

"Man, that feels so much better..."

"Remember, you don't have to hide your true self here."

"Thanks pat..."

"No problem kiddo."

Flapping his wings slightly, Virgil settled on the bed.

"Finally... I feel like i have space to breath."

Patton walked to the door.

"You look tired, take a rest kiddo"

"Ok pat..."
