"Not even cars?" Dariush asked worried. How stupid is this guy? I heard the sound of a gun being loaded. I saw that ZhenZhen was putting a flare gun into her bag. I turned to Max and we were both taking deep breaths because hearing the sound of a gun gave us memories we never wanted to think about. I grabbed another bag and filled it up with water and food.

"Well, you guys have food and a roof over your head. You could do a lot worse than staying here and waiting this out." Gabriel told us. In a way he was kinda telling us that we should be grateful we are  because we're safe here.

"Wait, waiting What Out?" Dariush asked before there was a loud explosion. "Shit! Come on, come on, come on!" Dariush shouted. We all ran outside and ran over to the edge of the lake.

"Those are F-22 Raptor air superiority fighters." Alex told us. I wasn't even going to ask how he knew that.

"What are those ships they're fighting?" Gabriel asked confused.

"I've never seen anything like them." Alex said amazed. The sound of engines roaring was deafening. They were flying straight towards us.

"Run! Go, get the hell out of here. Go!" Dariush was shouting at us. I looked behind us and saw that they were shooting at us or something. "Hurry up!" Dariush commanded us. "Move out of the way!" He shouted. I pushed Max in front of me. You could mainly here the sound of guns blasting. At one point they shot the ground next to us. Max fell to the ground and I helped him up, as if I was ever going to leave him out here.

"Hurry up! Come on!" Alex shouted at us. The ground next to us was constantly getting shot out. I'm guessing we were their targets. "Oh! Look out!" Alex called to us. "Look out, look out!" Alex shouted. There was an explosion in front of us. It hit us so hard that we flew into the air and came back down again then to top it off we were just rolling. We all groaned in pain. I managed to get up with the Gabriel. The sound of gunfire and engines continued.

"What's going on?" Dariush asked. I felt like I had just been thrown around like I was a rag doll. I looked around while holding my head. We saw something coming towards us. We all yelled and started running backwards. I pushed Max in front of me so he would be ahead of me. When the thing hit the ground we all fell forwards. I felt a pain in my ankle and I instantly knew that I had sprained it. Yet again we all groaned in pain. I stood up and helped Gabriel up to return the favor.

"I would ask if everyone was ok but that's a dumb question." I said while laughing lightly.

"What is that?" Dariush asked before coughing.

"It's a Dragon capsule." Alex told us as we all ran over to it. I was hiding the fact that I was in pain and obviously I was doing a good job of it.

"How do you know all this stuff?" Gabriel asked him.

"There's a reason my mom sent me to outdoor camp." Alex told us for an answer and that was a perfectly good answer.

"Oh, God, that thing's huge." Dariush told us.

"No shit." I told him sarcastically.

"What the hell?" Dariush said as a question. I saw Gabriel walked towards the tiny little trapdoor like thing.

"No, don't touch it! Dude!" Alex said to Gabriel but it was too late. Gabriel had already touched the capsule and in a way burnt his hand.

"Oh! Ah!" Gabriel said in pain. He walked back and held his wrist.

"It's still hot from re-entry." Alex told him.

"Oh, does anyone have any water?" Dariush asked.

"Good idea." Alex told him in an agreeing tone. ZhenZhen passed Dariush her water bottle but Dariush just drank from it. I opened up my bag and gave one of my bottled waters to Gabriel. He tipped some of the water on his hand.

"Thanks." He said to me.

"It's ok. In times like these we need to have each other's backs." I told him with a smile. He smiled back. I could see Max looking at us and looking between the both of us.

"What?" Dariush said after he had finished drinking. Gabriel took the bottle from out of his hand and cooled the door down. "You're not seriously going to open that thing, are you?" Dariush asked him. Gabriel handed me back the bottle that I gave him and I put it back in my bag. He through threw the other one on the ground.

"There could be someone inside." Gabriel told him.

"And if there is someone inside they might know what's going on." I added onto Gabriel's point.

"No, leave it be. All right?" Dariush told us as if we were stupid.

"What?" Alex said in shock.

"We don't know what this shit is." Dariush said after he wiped a black substance off of the capsule.

"Don't touch it." Alex whispered at Dariush's stupidity. Dariush smelt it and wiped it off on his shoe.

"This is animal kingdom out here, bitches. All right, survival of the fit- -" Dariush asked. Their was a clanging sound as the door came off and knocked Dariush over. I had a little laugh to myself because he deserved it. We all looked inside the capsule, except from Dariush who was on the floor. Dariush got up and walked over to us.

"Hello. Is...is anybody in here?" Gabriel asked. Max was right behind me for his own safety. As we got closer we could still see nothing except from darkness. We saw a hand come out and reach the side.

"Ah!" We all shouted at the same time. I didn't realize it at first but I found myself holding onto Gabriel. I quickly let go off him and helped the woman who was moaning in pain get out of the capsule.

"Come on, come on, come on!" Dariush said rushing us. "I thought space was supposed to make you weightless?" He questioned.

"Dariush can you just shut up for a second, please?" I said to him rhetorically. "Thank you." I added. When we placed the woman on the ground she screamed in pain.

"We're not in space, dude." Alex told Dariush in a 'duh' tone. The woman was wheezing and groaning as well. I couldn't exactly tell where she was in pain but I knew why. I did have a strong inkling of what might be the issue. The cause was definitely from her landing.

"Where am I?" She asked us.

"You're at Rim of the World Adventure Camp. Near Big Bear." Alex told her.

"This is a camp?" She asked confused.

"Yeah, I was disappointed too, but..." Dariush started before she cut him off.

"Coordinates all wrong. Pasadena...Dr. Fielding." She told us.

"I'm sorry, but we're not near Pasadena right now." Dariush told her.

"JPL!" She shouted at us.

"JPL? The Jet Propulsion Laboratory. It's part of NASA." Alex told her.

"Try not to move as much, okay?" Gabriel told her.

"I would say you have a couple of broken ribs so you need to stay still, okay?" I told her. I had always wanted to be a doctor so I studied medical stuff if I ever had the time to.

"The key." The woman told us. She took her necklace chain off and at the bottom was a key. "Take it to JPL, Dr. Fielding. It has everything on it. Excalibur, everything." She explained to us. Whatever that black substance was it evolved into something alien like.

"What the actual shit?" Dariush shouted.

"You're gonna die if we leave you." Gabriel told her.

"We'll all die if you don't!" She shouted at Gabriel. This key is the only solution to saving everyone and everything. I don't understand why she would trust a couple of teenagers to get it to JPL.
