It had been a couple of days later. Today we were going canoeing. I got washed up and changed into my outfit for the day. I didn't do my makeup because my dad told me to leave it at home.

We were all walking or running over to the vans. Me and ZhenZhen were walking to the vans when we met Alex. We all stood together for a second before Dariush pushed passed us calling shotgun. We all got into the van and sat down. I sat by the window and just looked outside the whole time. "All right y'all the king is back." Dariush said to us. I just rolled my eyes. I could hear someone saying who. Max was sat behind me. I quickly tied my hair into a ponytail just so my hair wouldn't get that wet. I saw Dariush sit next to Alex, who me and ZhenZhen were sat behind.
"Hope y'all aren't afraid of sharks." Logan told us before getting into the drivers side. "Put y'all seatbelt on." He added before shutting the drivers side door. "Cause my license is suspended." He said in a lower voice.
"Wait, your license is suspended?" Dariush asked Logan.
"Just a a little bit." Logan said not making a big deal out of it.
"What does that mean?" Dariush asked.
"It means let's not get pulled over." Logan said making me laugh silently. It was a kinda quiet journey down to the lake. Once we got there the first of the bad news happened.
"Ah, Sorry Guys, Some kids shit the canoe while shooting the rapids." The instructor told us. Me and ZhenZhen wandered away from everyone. We walked up the mountain that was near us.
"ZhenZhen, Y/N." I could hear Alex shouting from behind us. "ZhenZhen, Y/N, do you know where your going?" He asked us. I could hear Max running up behind him calling out to us but me and ZhenZhen continued to ignore them. We just continued walking down this Some what trail. "I don't think we should wander this far." Alex told us concerned.
"Y/N your doing the opposite of what mom told you to do." Max said to me. That was the last straw, I felt as if I could start a fight with him but I couldn't.
"Maybe we should head back?" Alex asked us rhetorically. "ZhenZhen, Y/N, do you know how to get back?" Alex asked us worriedly.
"Y/N this is the most walking you've done in 5 years I'm surprised you haven't stopped yet." Max called to me. I just tried to calm myself down. Me and ZhenZhen reached the the top where there was a breathtaking view.
"Wow!" I shouted at the sight of the view. I felt my emergency phone go off in my back pocket. "I'll be back in a second." I told her. I answered my phone when I got to a clearing. "Hello?" I asked down the phone.
"Hey, hows camp?" Ginger asked me.
"It's ok I guess." I told her. I leant up against a tree for 2 minutes to talk to her. Saw someone approaching the clearing I was at. "I gotta go." I told her.
"I'll see you in a few weeks." She told me. I smiled for a second thinking of what her and the rest of them were going to tell me.
"See you then." I told her. I hung up the phone and put it back in my pocket. I heard talking I could make out my brothers voice but I didn't know who the other person was. "Max if your trying to scare me it isn't going to work." I told him. I walked to the location of where the voices where coming from.
"I thought I was going to for once." He told me.
"Who's this?" The guy stood next him asked.
"This is my sister I was telling you about, Y/N." Max told him. "Oh, Y/N this is Gabriel." He added quickly. I could hear from behind me Alex shouting no.
"We gotta go. It's Alex." I told them. We walked to where he was. I saw that Dariush was there, what a surprise. I could see Dariush making Alex look down the cliff edge so he could face his fear of heights.
"Let him go." Gabriel shouted at them. I could see that Dariush had stopped.
"Move along, mountain hobo. We've got no qualms with you." Dariush shouted at him.
"No. Help me. Help me!" Alex shouted at us.
"I'm not gonna ask you again." Gabriel shouted back. Dariush pulled Alex away from the edge.
"Uh-huh come over here." Dariush said while pulling Alex with him. "Big mistake, bro." He added. "Y/N did you put him up to this?" He asked me, i flipped off only because I felt the need to. Dariush threw Alex to the ground.
"Are you alright?" I asked him. He just nodded.
"Ooh. Five years of Krav Maga, bitch. I'll Gal Gadot you so hard right now. What's your ground game? What? What? Uhh!" Dariush explained to Gabriel before attempting to kick him but Gabriel just sucker punched him so hard that he fell to the ground.
"You ok?" Gabriel asked Alex while offering his hand. Alex took it and thanked him.
"Who are you?" Alex asked him.
"My name is Gabriel." He answered quickly.
"You live around here?" Alex asked him. I had kinda wondered the same thing.
"Yeah. You guys are from the, um, the camp right?" He asked when ZhenZhen came over to us.
"Unfortunately." I answered.
"She's not much of a talker." Alex told Gabriel while motioning towards her.
"You know what? You know...You know what? That was a lucky punch. Lucky punch. Yeah, you know, I haven't acclimated to the altitudes yet. So my reflexes are kinda... sub-par." Dariush said once he walked over to us. All of a sudden there was loud booms in the distance. I pulled Max behind me out of instinct. It continued as we looked around.
"Y/N I'm scared." Max whispered to me. I turned around and crouched in front of him. I grabbed his shoulders.
"I'll look after you ok." I told him.
"What the hell was that?" Dariush asked. All of our cell phone alarms started beeping. I got mine out and read the message.
"What does it say?" Gabriel asked us.
"It's the emergency broadcast system. 'All civilians are to evacuate metropolitan areas immediately. Under no circumstances approach any unknown aircraft.' It's the next 7-Eleven." Dariush told us all.
"We gotta get back to the van." Alex told us.
"That's even if their still here." I told him.
"Anyone know the way?" Alex asked us. Of course I hadn't taken any notice.
"I do." Gabriel spoke up. "Follow me." He told us.
"Okay. Whoa!" Dariush said stopping him. "Slow your roll, Dora the Explorer, all right, this is my clique. Soldiers, out!" Dariush said scoffing. We all just followed Gabriel.
"Let's go." Gabriel told us as we made our way down. I could hear Dariush say something I just didn't know what he said. After we got to a certain point we started running.
"They're gone." Alex shouted. As we made it down to where the canoes were.
"Assholes!" Dariush shouted.
"Y/N what are we gonna do?" Max asked me. I could tell he scared and he just wanted to know what he could do.
"I don't know ok, but we'll figure it out." I told him. I didn't want to promise anything just in case something happened to either one of us.
