"Lisa!"

The blonde girl in the hospital bed tilted her head, watching her mother rush into the room.

"Lisa! What did you do this time? Haven't we talked about this? You were supposed to attend all your classes!" Her mother bombarded her with questions, though her sharp tone was betrayed by the worry in her eyes.

"Mom, I can assure you that I attended all of my classes," Lisa explained softly, trying to calm her. "It's just that I really wanted to visit that place."

"Lisa, I'm just worried about you. Please be careful next time, okay?" Her mother sighed, brushing a stray hair from Lisa's forehead. "Didn't I tell you that you should protect yourself, too?"

"It's okay, Mom. Where's Dad, anyway?" Lisa asked, noting her father's absence since she had regained consciousness.

"Oh, he'll be here soon. He went to get you some food at the store nearby. Just wait, because we have something we need to discuss with you." Mrs. Manoban patted Lisa's shoulder and gave her a small, knowing smile.

Lisa simply nodded and waited. A few minutes later, the door swung open, revealing her father carrying a basket of fruit.

"Oh hey, Lisa! How are you? I'm glad you're awake," Mr. Manoban said, pulling his daughter into a brief hug. He set the basket on the table and sat beside the bed. "Good news: the doctor told me you can be discharged today."

"Glad I'll finally be leaving this boring room," Lisa muttered, sitting up and resting her back against the headboard.

Mr. Manoban smiled. He knew his daughter could be difficult—rude, even—but he also knew that every action of hers had a reason behind it.

"So Lisa, as I was saying, your father and I wanted to speak with you," Mrs. Manoban began. "Right, Marco?"

"Yeah," her father agreed, his expression becoming serious.

"We are truly concerned about your health and your safety," her mother continued. "Because of that, we've hired someone to look after you. She will be with you everywhere—from school until you're back at your condo. And for the time being, you won't be going to that place."

"What! I'm—"

"Shhh. Lisa, I'm not done speaking," her mother cut her off firmly. "We decided to give her the unit directly across from yours. You will also be giving her a ride to school in the morning and back in the afternoon. Now you can complain."

Lisa's eyes rolled instinctively. "But Mom, I'm not a baby! I can handle myself. You don't need to do this, and no, I won't agree to it," she snapped, her voice rising in frustration. "And I'm not giving some girl a ride. Never."

"We don't really need your approval, Lisa. What we needed was Jennie's approval, and she already said yes," Mr. Manoban said, a small smirk playing on his lips.

"What? Who?" Lisa asked, her heart sinking.

"Jennie Kim. The President of your school. We trust her completely. She's already done a great job getting you to attend your classes, and I know I'm not wrong to put my faith in her," Mr. Manoban said proudly.

"Are you kidding me!?"

"No, we aren't kidding, Lisa. Do you want to see her?" her mother asked.

"Hell no—"

"Jennie Kim, please come in," Mrs. Manoban called out before Lisa could launch into another rant.

The door opened and the brunette entered, walking straight to Lisa's parents and bowing respectfully. Lisa snickered at the girl's polite act, glaring at her the moment their eyes met.
