The Next day morning, Wan Huang opened her eyes to the sound of the doors creaking open.

The discipline master strode in followed by the ugly prison warden and his deputy. He motioned them to unlock the chains while he retrieved the beast core and stored it safely.

"Hope you have learned from this punishment. Don't be so vicious against your peers. Cultivating and becoming strong is good, but use it for a good purpose."

The discipline master advised her earnestly. Wan Huang silently left without responding.

The discipline master left the confinement room shortly after her.

While he was still inside the room, he noticed a faint aura of spiritual QI. Being a cultivator, he knew what that signified, so he covertly probed Wan Huang twice with his spiritual energy.

The result remained the same. The girl was only at the profound earth level 6. He was puzzled. Then he remembered about the beast core.

Right! It should be the beast core that gave out the spiritual QI fluxes. Otherwise, how can a person whose spiritual energy was sealed still utilize it? With this, his confusion was cleared, and he strode off to report it to his senior master.

Wan Huang returned to her room. Since their classes begin early in the morning, there was no one in the room.

She then entered the Red Jade Palace to see something coming towards her at a high speed and knocked her.

She stumbled two steps back due to the momentum. Stabilizing on her feet she looked down to see little Xiufeng hugging her waist and looking up at her with his tear-filled beady eyes.

"What happened?" She asked startled at his sudden action. It was she who always tried to touch him, and he would run away every time.

Little Xiufeng started sobbing like a child and wound his hands around her waist tightly as if he was holding onto something precious and not willing to part with it.

His tears and snot soaked her sweat smelled robes. She didn't mind about it instead, pat him gently on his back cooing gentle words to calm him down.

It took almost an incense stick of time for him to cool down. He left her embrace and regained his 'nothing-happened' attitude. All that left of the previous incident was his nonstop hiccups and occasional sniffles.

Wan Huang was flabbergasted by his sudden change in attitude.

'Ha! What a thankless little thing. He wasted my gentle words and warm pats for nothing.'

"Although it was difficult, it was a blessing that you reaped something good out of it."

Xiufeng's words reminded her of the important matter at hand.

She trotted into her room in the palace.

This room had all the essential things she needed. From beds to tables to even the large luminous pearls that lighted up the room. Not to mention the neatly stacked closet packed with sheets, quilts and other essentials everything was designed and arranged carefully.

The previous owner of the room took great pains to arrange this room.

She took out a clean robe which she left in the palace earlier and went to clean herself up.

Xiufeng meanwhile was checking his reflection by the pond cleaning up any traces of his earlier disgraceful behaviour.

"Hmph! I cried not for her. It's because something went into my eyes." He justified his actions.
