After a week's travel, Wan Huang reached the Caijeng town by evening. Taking Wan Fang with her, she knocked on the doors of a courtyard secluded in a remote area of the town.

A small head popped out.

"Who are you? What do you want?." The child inquired, cautious of the strangers that appeared at their gates.

"Little guy, I am your master's friend. I came to see him, can you let me in?." She asked politely.

"How do you know my master? What is your name?." He asked, still not allowing her to step inside.

"Tell your master, his disciple Li Yaoyao's friend, Li Huang came to visit him and.."

''BAM"

'..........'

Before she could even complete her sentence, the door shut against her face leaving a dumbfounded Wan Huang to stand outside with many paper bags hanging on her palms.

Wan Fang looked at the closed gates, puzzled.

They were supposed to go for missions, then why are they standing in front of a remote courtyard?.

Maybe, Li Huang wanted to ask for help? Then what about these bags?

The door opened again, this time a young boy around fourteen years of age welcomed them in with a warm smile.

"Master was waiting for you to visit him but it took almost a year for you to return." He smiled in surprise.

A year ago, a beautiful girl appeared at their doorsteps with her friend asking for master's help.

His master had an odd personality. He would never accept anyone from a prestigious background. He always said he took those children as disciples whom he had a fate with.

As such, he only had eight disciples who all came from a commoner background. All of them were orphans, either abandoned by their family due to poverty or escaped after being kidnapped and trafficked.

He took care of them, never failing to fulfil their necessities like clothes and food. Even though they had to a scrump and save every penny, they were all happy they could feed their stomachs twice a day.

Master taught them to harness the spiritual energy and cultivate. He cleared their doubts and encouraged them to become strong.

Then one day, this girl appeared in their life. They don't know what deal she made with their master that he accepted her friend as a disciple, they also had enough food to feed them thrice a day and new clothes from then on.

Master Huang was meditating inside his room when he heard his disciple announce Li Huang's arrival. He asked them to wait for an incense stick of time and would come after his meditation.

"Master was drinking wine and lazing around till Xiao Jun came and told him about your visit. He asked me to welcome you and hurried inside to remove the traces."

The young lad laughed at his master's actions.

The old man is as ferocious as a tiger when he teaches them, as lazy as a pig when he was free but he turns into a frightened kitten on meeting this girl.

Wan Huang grinned at Master Huang's methods. She had the best bait to lure out that old man.

She sat on the doorsteps of master Huang's room and patted the spot beside her to Wan Fang.

"Xiao Nuo, I brought candies, sweet and sour rice cakes, fried meatballs and some clothes for all of you." She handed the paper bags to the young lad.
