(back in time)

The bell rang as we walked through the door. This diner wasn't so shabby, red leather seats, checkered floor, and some singers' pictures on the wall.

"Take a seat wherever you want, folks. I'll be with you in just a moment." A woman, maybe in her late forties or early fifties smiled at us as she scrubbed a milkshake glass.

Her hair was amazing, it was red just like Cherry's, her outfit was dark red and black, while her heels were the brightest thing I have ever seen; hot pink dashing heels.

"This place looks cool," I whispered to Nicole.

She smiled at me and began walking towards a booth.

"Yeah, it looks decent."

I flinched forgetting that Dally was behind me, I looked back, he had a toothpick in between his lips.

"Don't get scared, doll." He said as he slid in the booth.

"I don't bite." He smirked as I slid in on the opposite side of him.

I grabbed a menu off the stand and began covering my face with it, I didn't want him seeing me blush just because he breathed next to me.

"What do you think about getting?" Nicole nudged me in the arm as she pointed her eyes towards the menu.

"Um, I don't know, probably their blueberry pancakes?" I shrugged like I was questioning my answer.

"That sounds good, I think I'll get that too," Dally added his two senses into the conversation.

I looked up and saw him smirking towards me still, I also glimpsed at the lady walking towards us.

"Hi! Welcome to Joey's diner. I'm Wendy, I'll be taking care of you today, do you guys want to start off with some drinks?" She smiled as she took out her notepad.

"I'll take a pepsi," Nicole said as she pointed to the beverage column.

"I'll take a vanilla milkshake, please?" I gave her a soft smile.

"—And for you sir?" She laughed as she looked at Dally.

"I'll also take a vanilla milkshake." He said as he pressed his leg against mine.

"Watch it, Dally." Nicole sneered at him.

I twitched my neck as if I were to be winning something. He shook his head as he bit down on his tongue.

"Do you guys need any more time with the menus?" Wendy asked as she clicked her pen.

"I'm ready, are you guys?" Nicole smiled as she pointed to this picture of a cheeseburger with mushrooms in it.

Gross.

"Yeah, I'll take a plate of two blueberry pancakes, please." I smiled at Wendy.

"Miss?" Wendy smiled at Nicole, but you could already tell that she knew what Nicole wanted.

"Mushroom cheeseburger, please?" She said smiling with her pearly whites.

"—And you sir?" She laughed as she wrote the orders.

"I think I'll also take a plate of blueberry pancakes?" He smiled at Wendy and then threw a smirk my way.

"Okay, two blueberry pancakes and one mushroom cheeseburger, am I right?" She asked.

"You got everything." I gave her a soft smile.

"Thank you." Wendy placed some forks and knives, and began walking towards the back once again.
