CURSING/IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE END
Roman's POV
I followed Patton down the hallway, examining the house. The walls were painted a light grey, and a few framed photos. I noticed the lack of parents in the photo's on the walls as we turned left.
Virgil was on the ground, groaning as he rubbed the back of his head, wincing in pain. Patton instantly rushed to his side and helped him up. The sound of footsteps behind me alerted all of us as the attention turned to behind me.
A boy in black sweatpants and a yellow tank top entered the kitchen, rubbing his eyes and yawning. He froze when he saw the situation and began laughing, causing Virgil to...
Did he just hiss?
"Damien! I will kill you" Virgil hissed, walking over and hitting the back of his head with an oven mitt.
"OW! Jesus I'm not your asshole soulmate don't hate me!" He- Damien retaliated, causing everything to fall silent. Patton coughed, causing Damien too look at me and freeze. He looked at Virgil, who shyly nodded.
"ANYWAY! Where's the princess of this castle?" Patton asked, clearly sensing the awkwardness. Virgil just chuckled in response, seemingly trying to ignore me. Rude.
"Kg you mean Eve?" Virgil asked. Before I could question it, the sound of frantic footsteps approached. The girl I had seen before burst into the kitchen and screamed.
"EXCUSE YOU I AM NO MERE PRINCESS! I AM A FUCKING QUEEN!"
"HEY! Watch your fucking language Evanora." Damien replied with just as much sass. The two laughed as Patton scolded them. I turned to Virgil but, he wasn't there. Looking around I caught a glimpse of him shutting the door to what I can only assume is his bedroom.
I approached the door and knocked. No response. I tried again but still nothing. So I just opened the door.
The walls were painted purple, which matched well with the dark grey ceiling and dark brown wooden floor, a black fluffy carpet was in the center of the room. A wooden desk sat to my left, a computor, drawing tablet, and a lot of notebooks were on the desk. In another corner was a bunch of plushies, beanbags, cushions and blankets piled up. Along with a bookshelf, purple fairylights and polaroid photos on the walls. In the opposite corner, Virgil sat on his single bed right next to a window and a set of drawers.
Virgil had earphones in and was quietly mumbling the words as he tapped a pen against a book along with the beat of the music. A black siberian kitten was asleep on his lap. It was honestly quite a cute sight.
I quietly shut the door behind me and made my way over. Virgil was only alerted of my presence when I sat down next to him on the bed. He froze, seemingly not moving only because it would wake the sleeping cat. The shorter man took out his earphones, placing them on his book that sat next to him.
"What do you want? If you're here to beat me and insult now really isn't a good time." He said, mumbling quietly as to not wake the cat.
"What's her name?" I ask, gesturing to the small kitten.
"His name is irrelevant, and don't change the subject." Virgil replied coldly. I noticed a framed photo and a book with a leather cover sitting on the drawers next to the bed. I just shrugged it off.
"Well look, the whole me being an asshole is kinda my entire reputation in highschool. Being a walking cliché you know?"
"Right... so you expect me to believe that you aren't a dick, and it's all just some kind of performance to you?"
