"I've heard people say Snivy are smug, what's up with that?" Kin asked.

"Well that's because once you know a Snivy long enough it becomes Serperior."

Kin chuckled and shook his head. "That was so bad."

Soul laughed quietly. "I guess it was."

Kin looked over towards the bar, his eyes scanned the many Pokémon milling around, he was looking for the brown furball that is the embodiment of cuteness.

'Wait, where'd that come from?' Kin asked himself confused, he shook his head and chuckled to himself, he knew where it came from. Evie was incredible, how could he not fall for her?

Kin kept looking but couldn't see her anywhere, he switched methods. Reaching out for her aura he couldn't find her in the café. She was nowhere to be found. Kin's brows furrowed, he closed his eyes and searched harder while Soul watched him in confusion. Kin didn't find her in the café, but on the roof, there was a familiar aura. It was a soft pink, inside the pink was a splash of red, the red looked like it was trapped and trying to get out, but it couldn't. Evie. Kin stood up rapidly from the table, startling Soul out of her seat. The Snivy stood up rubbing her sore head. "Kin, what's wrong?"

Without a word Kin bolted towards the stairs, he ran up them and found himself on the roof. By the edge sat an Eevee, it turned to look at him. Pink eyes stared sweetly at him.

"Kin." The Eevee purred.

Soul arrived on the roof and stopped just behind Kin, she looked back and forth between the Riolu and Eevee in a confused manner.

"What have you done with Evie?" Kin demanded.

"Don't worry, she's safe."

"Who are you?"

"Just someone who needed a place to hide."

"Uh, I am very confused." Soul said.

"Oh? Let me explain." Not Evie replied. "My friend Mewtwo has a problem, he's a good Pokémon, but he has quite a traumatic past, and sometimes, the terrors he's experienced manifest themselves as a beast. He loses control and can't stop himself. You understand, don't you Kin?"

Kin grit his teeth and glared at the Eevee, Soul was starting to get worried, what was happening?

"You see Kin, I wanted to help my friend, I wanted to save Mewtwo from himself, but I didn't know how, all I knew is that I was the only one who could stop him once he started rampaging. Over time he got worse, stopping him became harder, and harder, until one day, I couldn't. So, I ran, and I had an idea, I would hide. I would hide until he snapped out of it. I would leave him until he woke up and was himself again. He would miss me so much that he wouldn't lose control ever again because if he did I would leave him. But, to hide I needed a disguise, that was when I discovered the Aura of a human girl. I don't know how it got here, she had no memories, she was floating adrift, no physical body, no conscious, so I borrowed her. I disguised myself as an Eevee and allowed my spirit to be subdued by hers. I let her think she was in control, but all along, she was a stranger in my body."

"You abandoned Mewtwo."

"You're not really one to talk though, are you?"

Kin grit his teeth. "You started talking to her, showing her your memories. Why? What changed?"

"I was discovered, first by a Riolu, second by Evie and finally, Mewtwo found me. When Mewtwo destroyed Tranquil Town I realised something, he wasn't happy, nor was I. I wanted to be with him, no matter what. Slowly I worked away at Evie, trying to regain control over my body. Then one day, came her breaking point, she was abandoned by her best friend. I had found a handhold and I didn't let go. I filled her head with doubt and soon, I was in control once again. I must thank-you Kin, if you hadn't done what you did, we wouldn't be here right now."
