Mewtwo laughed loudly as he chased Mew. The two were playing in their tower and oh how he'd missed it. Mew was directly in front of him, but suddenly she disappeared. He stopped when he heard her giggling. "Really? That old trick?"
Mew giggled again. "For old times' sake."
Mewtwo chuckled, he searched the room for his invisible companion, she wasn't there. He widened his search, there she is. Mewtwo followed the wraparound staircase in the centre of the tower and went down two floors. Mew was still invisible, but his psychic powers made her easy to find. He was slowly sneaking up behind her when he realised what she was looking at. Mewtwo placed a gentle hand on her back and she became visible.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes. It's just..."
Mewtwo tilted his head at the way Mew trailed off. As he waited for her to continue speaking he looked at the object in front of them. A small heart shaped necklace sat on a thin stone pillar that rose to his chest's height. The necklace was transparent and hollow, inside it swirled a misty fog of green and blue hues.
"When I look at her... I feel calm, at peace, as if she's something I need."
Mewtwo looked at her in confusion, but she was right, something about it... Who is this girl? Mewtwo pushed the thoughts from his mind and smiled. Gently he picked up the necklace and placed it around Mew's neck. Mew smiled and hugged him.
"Mewtwo... I'm scared."
"I know. Me too."
Somewhere far below them a set of heavy double doors swung open before were closing gently.
"We have a guest." Mewtwo said. "Wait here."
Mew nodded, he smiled at her and flew down the stairs. Mewtwo exited the stairwell, before him stood an old Pokémon who had many battle scars and was grim looking.
"Leave now," Mewtwo told the Scizor.
"You know I can't do that," Scizor replied.
Mewtwo felt it, the thing that both he and Mew feared; he felt his potential to do great or terrible things. He tried to fight it, but the quiet whispers of goodness and mercy are hard to hear over the shouts of selfishness. Hatred flared within Mewtwo, all he wanted was Mew. Now he had her, and they were happy. Would Pokémon never leave them be?
Mewtwo's eyes flashed, he began swirling his hand through the air in a circular motion. Outside the tower a terrible storm grew; the earth shook, rain hammered, lightning flashed. The two warriors glared at each other.
When Mewtwo spoke his words were harsh, but they were said as if he was begging Scizor to run. "You. You have condemned... everyone."
Scizor and Mewtwo leapt into battle and collided in the centre of the room.

Kira, Twigs and Soul clashed ruthlessly, sparks flew from their intense sparring match. Kira's Aerial Ace met Soul's Leaf Blade. The attacks collided, and both females fought for the upper hand. A Razor Leaf from Twigs separated the two. Soul flipped away from the attack, Kira turned and fired a stream of fire in the direction of the leaves.
Twigs rolled away from the Flamethrower and came up ready to keep fighting. He charged at Kira and she charged back. The two were about to clash when they were interrupted by a screaming Snivy.
Soul shouted in exertion, a large gust of wind swept through the forest; whipping branches, leaves and loose foliage into a violent frenzy. Jumping high into the air Soul aimed her Leaf Tornado at Kira and Twigs. Soul flipped and aimed her attack downwards, causing a huge explosion. When the dust cleared a Torchic, Turtwig and Snivy lay on the ground. All were breathing heavily and had minor scratches and bruises. Soul sat up and straightened her bow with a sighed. Twigs groaned and sat upright. Kira rubbed her head with a wing as she moaned in pain.
