"Charge!" I screamed, leading the men into the castle. It was our turn to make a massacre. Men jumped from their horses and made a wall out of the shields, protecting themselves and killing the guards that stood in our way.

The remaining people on the horses went around them, trapping the guards and slaughtering them.

In the middle of all the commotion, was Snow and I. Eric was in front of us, the wall of shields around us and the swords in hand. With Eric in front of me, I felt as safe as I could be in this situation.

As the remainder of the men outside the castle were coming in, they drowned the entrance with hot, black oil. Men and horses screamed and thrashed under the boiling liquid.

Above me, on her balcony, was the queen. She looked smug. I looked up at her and grinned. It confused her, so I gave her my armour covered middle finger.

She scowled and left her balcony, returning to her room. A man tried to cut me down, so I swung at him and decapitated him, having seen the hole in his helmet. I saw an empty entrance at the side of the castle and smiled. No guards were coming though it.

I climbed up the catapult and jumped through the fire, fighting my way into the castle. I killed three guards before I even got to the doorway.

It was rather pitiful, really. An 18 year old girl who hasn't picked up a sword in 7 years is going to murder your queen.

Somehow, Snow had followed me to the doorway. We looked up at the stairs and started running up them, neither of us having a clue where we were.

Once I caught a glimpse of the outside from where we were, I knew where we were. Three rooms away, was the queens balcony.

Three rooms away, was the queen. Walking with Snow down the corridor that led me to the queen, I wrenched the door open to the throne room.

There, in the middle of all the fuss and carnage, was the queen. She looked out of the window, not turning when the door opened or when she heard the metal on my armoured feet hitting the ground as I stormed towards her.

Climbing the steps to her, she stood by the fire, unflinching and scary. She looked at me with dark, made up eyes. Her hands were behind her back, her dress black like a crows feathers.

Eric, Will, and several other people arrived at the door. All of whom held encouraging looks on their faces.

Suddenly, the queen looked away. The room shook, shards of black glass started falling from the ceiling. The men put their shields up to cover their heads.

The glass shards started to gather together, lifting into the air and forming dark, silhouetted monsters. William tried to cut one down, bit it's head grew back and it attacked again.

"Come. Avenge your father, who was too weak to raise his sword" the queen taunted. I let out a battle cry and lunged for her, aiming my sword for her heart. She grabbed my wrist, tripped me, and threw me away.

I grabbed my sword and got up, lunging again. This time, she grabbed the sword and used it to throw me into the stairs.

There was blood in my mouth as she lifted me by the hair. She forced me to watch the battle in front of me.

"Go on. Watch them die" I watched the scene in front of me. Snow and Eric and William fighting off the beasts with slim chances of living.
"How does it feel, knowing you were the one who led them to their deaths? You see, we’re not that different, are we?"

I struggled out of her grasp and spat out a load of blood. "I'm everything you're not" I said slyly, getting up from the floor. She walked away from me and I swung several times. When she finally turned around, she had me by my wrist and neck and crushed my wrist until I had to let go of the sword.

She threw it away from me and lifted me from the fire she had me leaning over. She slapped me so hard I flew into the air and across the room.

"You cannot defeat me!" She screamed, stepping into the flames. Her skin burned, but healed afterwards, not effecting her in the slightest. "I have lived twenty lives. Ravaged entire kingdoms. I have been given powers that you could not even fathom! I will never stop. Never! I will give this retched world the queen it deserves!"

I reached for my sword, but she kicked me away from it. She straddled me, plunging a dagger into my shoulder. I blocked with my forearm, remembering what Eric had taught Snow.  "By fairest blood is it done!"

I used my silver, small, poisonous dagger that I had given to me by Eric upon our return, and stabbed the queen to the hilt with it. The glass creatures suddenly fell, no longer feeding from Ravenna.

I dug the blade into her skin through her black dress, taking less pleasure in seeing her die than I thought I would. "And only by fairest blood is it undone" I finished. She looked sad, gazing down at her wound.

She held her hand over mine and pulled the blade out. Three drops of blood fell with a metallic ring on my armour. She dropped her knife and looked at me with such a terror.

She crawled off of me, backing up onto the steps next to her golden mirror.  She wheezed and struggled for breath as the poison kicked in, burning her insides. I got up and walked towards her to help, then stopped myself.

I knelt down next to her feet, looking into her terrified eyes. She had never known death. And I pitied the fear on her face. But she was to kill me. My sister. She needed to die.

"You can't have my heart" she looked like she accepted that, and I held her hand tightly, where she gripped it in fear.

Her eyes glazed over like fogged glass, and she fell limp against the chest she leaned against. She turned old in front of me, her beauty gone.

I stood up, backing slowly away from her. I looked up, spotting my reflection in the golden mirror. Back down at the queen, a tear slipped from my eye.

"I forgive you"
