Life had restored itself to the land. The tree in the courtyard was blooming it's flowers. It had been three days since I had killed the queen. I had ordered a proper burial, where I then retrieved Finn and buried him with her.

It was my coronation. I sat on the throne, in a green dress with gold trimmings and stitches, the townspeople around me. Snow stood to the side of me, a red dress hugging her figure and a silver crown on her head. I had given it to her as a representative of being princess.

Wearing my mothers necklace, I felt strong. Like she was with me. The emerald shone against my collarbones, and the crown was delicately placed on my head.

I looked to the people in front of me, holding a branch from the tree my mother had planted. Greta, Nakitta, and the dwarves were all here. I had invited them here to celebrate the release of the kingdom from darkness.

I had arranged for a village to be built just outside the castle of straw and wood, to be built just the way Nakitta's people had it before they were burned.

In front of me, was William and the Duke, my old friends, the dwarves and the ladies, yet, I missed a face.

As those around me shouted 'hail to the queen', I spotted him. His hair was tied back and he looked like he had different clothes on, but it was him. I smiled.

I was queen.

.....................

In the following months, I had been busy with the construction of the new village for Nakitta's people. The village inside the castle was thriving, the market back and the taxes down allowed people to have more money and feed their families.

As a group, I raided the treasury and gave half of it back to the village, letting them buy clean clothes and food for their families.

I had arranged for Snow and William to be married on their request. They wanted to marry before our mother, and so chose to marry beside the blooming tree.

I had the castle done back to the way father kept it. Light and surrounded by colour. The red he loved so dearly was put back, the beauty of it restored.

I sighed and leaned against a wall, tired beyond belief. I had to organise all sorts of events and then a wedding on top.

The wedding was in two days time, the flowers had bloomed and extra flowers were placed around the area intricately.

The dress was picked out for her. She was going to wear a classic, slim fitted dress with lace and beads down her back. I was maid of honour, and Eric was best man.

Speaking of Eric, I had named him the queen's huntsman. He was top if his station, payed well and kept safe and in luxury in the castle.

Only I hadn't heard a peep out of him for the past couple of days. He had gone hunting with a group of men two days ago, leaving me stressed and angry and missing him.

Lifting my gold dress, I walked up the steps to my room. The door was wide and black as ink, but inviting. I opened it and slipped into the room, closing my eyes and leaning against the door frame with a sigh on my lips.

"Back from queenly duties so soon?" I shrieked and opened my eyes, watching the smirk mold onto Eric's face. He was sitting on my king sized bed, his hunting gear still on.

"God, Eric. Did you have to do that?" I said breathily, a hand on my pounding heart. His voice blessed my ears. I had missed him with all my heart, and to not walk to him and hug him was torture.

"I didn't have to, but it was amusing" he said, getting up and walking towards me. "Did you miss me?" He asked huskily, hands on my hips and leaning down to whisper in my ear.

"I haven't even had the time to. I've been so busy you wouldn't believe" I rested my head against his chest and he lifted a hand to stroke my hair.

"Is the wedding causing this? I can help if you need me to" he said. I lifted my head and smiled, pecking him on the lips and returning to my spot on his chest.

"That would be heaven. Thank you my darling" I replied, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"You're welcome, my love" was his reply. "You don't need to stress yourself over this. Let William and Snow plan it. It'll be fine"

**************

Two days later, I was slipping into my dress. Snow was getting married in an hour, and I was fussing around and now I'm late.

My makeup was light and natural, but thought out my most prominent features. The dress I was wearing was a light grey that matched my eyes to perfection. It had lace on the bodice, with gems and pearls around the top and the sleeves. On my head, was my crown.

Forged out of the shards of black glass Ravenna had left behind, it held a replica of the jewel in my mothers necklace. I carried the shards with me as a final peace offering for Ravenna, showing her in hell or heaven that she was still next to a queen.

"You look beautiful" I turned around and saw Eric. His hair had been pulled back and braided at the sides, he was dressed in black trousers and a black shirt, a grey waistcoat on top to match my own.

I smiled lightly back at him. "Thank you. You look-"

"Handsome? Dashing? Mesmerising?" He cut me off. I was going to compliment him, but seen as he did that....

"I was going to say clean but very well" he narrowed his eyes playfully, stalking towards me and pulling me towards him by my waist.

"Will you ever stop teasing me?"

"Will you?"

"No"

"Then no"
