CERSEI'S POV

Feigning sleep, Snow didn't catch the attention of Finn as quickly as I did. He stared rather lovingly at me as I hit the rocks together too lightly, not wanting to make a spark.

I let out a groan of fake frustration, dropping the rocks and letting my shoulders drop. I glanced up at him and jumped with fake surprise.

I stood and curtsied quickly, dropping my head. I had always wooed him, hoping it might get us out. This was one way I did. Pretending he was the smartest person in the room.

He smiled lightly at me as he opened the door. He left it and stepped towards me, lifting my head by my chin. Internally, I wanted to smack him away and run as quickly as I could away from his foul sister.

Instead, I let him do it. For the sake of not only my head, but my sister. By marriage, he's my step uncle. Yet the way he looks at me, it is rather unimportant in his eyes.

"You do not need to bow to me" he said sincerely. I saw a flash of love in his eyes when I stared up at them. At this point, I felt bad about making him love me, since I'll either die or run. Either way, he'll lose what he never had.

"What can we do for you, sir?" I said, as polite as I could. He sent me a straight, white smile.

"Firstly, happy birthday" from behind his back, he pulled out a rose. Just the head, because the guards knew I could kill them with a solid, sharp rose stem. He presented it to me, it's petals as red as blood. Roses like these don't grow here anymore, he must've sent for it.

For a moment, I wavered my intentions with Finn. This was a very kind gesture, one I was truly thankful for. I decided that I would not be the one to injure him, even if his tortured soul deserved it. I took it in my hand and smiled gently, lifting it to my nose and smelling the artificial perfume.

"Thank you, Finn" he smiled back, but was distracted when Snow stirred. He looked over his shoulder.

"Did I wake you? I apologize" When Snow shook her head, he took my hand gently and pulled me towards our double bed, where we both sat.

"You're always awake when I visit Cersei" Snow let out a light laugh and nodded, unsure of herself with such a bold statement. If I were half as beautiful as the queen and was no threat to her throne, I'm sure she'd let Finn marry me, which is an unnerving thought.

"You've never come in before" she said, not liking how his hand went to my thigh. Truthfully, I didn't like it at all either. I choked back an angry remark and sat still, which only encouraged him to place his hand higher, until my own hand shot out and gripped it. I would rather hold his hand than have him touch me intimately. Pride or no pride, no way in hell was I letting him touch me.

"My sister won't allow it. She wants you two all to herself" he smiled and made light circular patterns on my thumb with the hand he held. Snow looked very uncomfortable, and I was, but didn't show it.

"I'm afraid of her" Snow confided. He tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows.

"But not of me?" he asked timidly, hoping for a kind answer. She gestured her head towards our conjoint hands and said no. He smiled at me and lifted our hands, placing a small kiss on my hand. Instead of being repulsed on the outside as I was in, I smiled back. He turned back to Snow and stroked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Fear not, princess, you will never again be locked in this cell" I perked up at that. oh, she's going to kill us.

"What does she want from me?" he chuckled darkly and let go of my hand for balance as he leaned forward, stroking her chest where her heart sat, her life depending on the little organ.

"Both of your beating hearts" Snow looked angry as hell, so I left for the fireplace, grabbing my dagger, holding the precious sheathed blade to my chest and watched as she dragged the nail across his face. He cried out and tended to his wound as Snow and I ran for it, as quick as we could.

We closed the door behind us and locked it, hoping to buy time. He stretched his hand through the bar at my face, pain flashing in his eyes.

"Cersei?"

"I truly am sorry, but we have to leave" I said, truly sorry for his pain. He screamed in fury and agony, watching as I tore my dress three inches up with the dagger to run faster, grabbed Snow's hand and ran.

Snow tried to help Greta, but when we saw her through the window, she was old and wouldn't be able to run well. "Go" she said weakly. I tore Snow away, mindful that Finn was screaming his head off and guards will soon be here to help.

We threw ourselves through corridors and were blinded by the sunlight for a moment. We had not been outside in 11 years. We kept on running, throwing our feet in front of each other as quickly as we could manage.

We approached a gate on the lower level of the castle and I barged it open with my shoulder. It caught the sight of the guard above us, and he shouted at us to stop, but we didn't listen. We ran again, and not training had made it harder, but I ignored the sting in my lungs and the hurting of my legs and kept on going.

The portcullis was surrounded by guards. Birds caught my attention, and I followed them to a sewage hole from the streets into the sea. Not thinking twice, I pulled Snow and dived, feet first down the pipe. We fell into murky water, but waded through. Coughing and near sick, Snow and I made it to the end.

There was a very sharp drop ahead of us, if it went wrong, we'll die. I looked at Snow, then down. I bent over and grabbed her by the back of the knees and her back, carrying her bridal style. When I jumped without a second thought, I threw her as hard as I could away from the rocks. Catching the last bit of the ledge, I pushed my foot against it hard and hurtled myself forward, landing three feet away from the rocks.

Snow made it to the sand, clutching onto the rocks. Once I had joined her, I collapsed onto the sand a moment, breathing heavily. I saw the birds again and lifted my head.

"Snow" I pointed to them as they led us through a cave of sorts, where we found a horse as white as snow, and another as red as blood. I let out an incredulous gasp and walked towards the red one, stroking it gently and mounting it smoothly. Snow struggled, so I jumped back down and lifted her onto the horse by her waist.

Together, we rode off of the beach, our hair whipping in the wind as we left the cruel, unkind world behind us and started anew.
