"You ready?"

Ready for my first day at a prestigious school with zero friends?

"Yeah, Dad. I'll see you later."

"Xephor please try not to get into trouble on your first day." My dad says desperately.

I get out of the car and start my five-minute walk to hell. I could have ridden with my dad all the way, but the last thing I need is people knowing I'm the baseball coach's daughter.

I look exactly like him. He has dirty blond hair, freckles, and brown eyes. I'm his mini-me except for a lot shorter. That's why I needed a new identity. Since he's famous his whole family is on the internet for everyone to see. This means that people would know who I am if they looked hard enough.

I dyed my hair silver and purple under the top layers of my hair. I got contacts to make my eyes look hazel, and I changed my name to Violet Baker.

Some people wouldn't think it would be a big deal if people knew who I was but they are wrong. It's a huge deal. People at my old school would try to use me to get to my dad. Guys wanted to be like him, and girls wanted to be with him. I learned that at an early age, but that's a story for another time.

When I got to the school the first thing I noticed was a big building in the center of multiple other buildings. I see crowds of students go into the big building, so I do the same hoping it's the right building.

As I walk in I immediately sense eyes on me. What is there to stare at? Don't they know it's not polite to stare? I was getting smirks from the boys and glares from the girls once they realized what had all the boy's attention.

"Don't you people have somewhere to be?" I ask annoyed.

I look around at the people and they all start to walk or talk amongst themselves. I make it to my first-period class and take a seat in the back right corner. The bell rings as kids file into the classroom. None of them caught my eye except the last four guys to walk into the classroom. I made eye contact with the raven-haired boy, and I wish I hadn't. He makes his way towards me.

"That's my seat." says the raven-haired boy.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I'll find a different seat," I reply dryly and look down at my notebook.

I expected him to walk away, but I didn't hear any footsteps.  I look up and make instant eye contact. His eyes are memorizing. The color is made up of greens and blues. I am cut out of a daze when a hand waves in front of my face.

"I think you broke her Zander."

I look to where the voice came from and see his I'm guessing friends right next to him. I had to admit they were all attractive.

"You are new here so I'm going to give you a second chance. Get out of my seat."

"I don't know who you think you are, but you have no right to tell me to move. Now I'm usually not one to tell people what to do, but you should go find a seat before class starts."  I say smiling innocently at the end.

"Okay class take your seats!" The teacher says while walking through the door.

I watch as Zander takes the seat next to his friend who is seated in front of me.

"Bitch," I heard Zander say under his breath.

I've been called a bitch many times before so this doesn't phase me one bit. He should really come up with more clever names than that.

I'm just ready for the day to be over so I can let all of my anger out playing baseball. I remember this one time when I almost took off the pitcher's head during a game. It was the day my parents told me they were getting a divorce. As you can tell I wasn't too happy about that.

I didn't know I zoned out until Zander's friend that was sitting in front of me turned around swiftly and gave me a toothy grin.

"I'm Justin."

"Violet."

"Don't worry about Zander. He found out not that long ago that someone is trying to take his spot on the team."

"I wasn't worried about him to begin with," I said while rolling my eyes.

"Why are you here now?' he asks after chuckling.

"New work opportunities for my parents."

"Ah, that must suck. Having to move schools just because your parents tell you."

"Yeah I guess," I said quietly while looking down.

The end of class soon came, and I got out of the classroom as fast as I could. The talk with Justin put me in a sour mood and I didn't want to be here any longer. I was right at the door to exit the school when someone grabbed my wrist. I turn around and see who was responsible.

"Where are you going?"  Justin says looking down at me.

"Honestly I have no idea,  I replied quietly.

After I said that I walked out of the school. I let my feet take me wherever. I soon arrived at the school's baseball field. I sat down in the dugout and called the only person I could think of.

"Yo, what's up?"

"Nothing much. I just wanted to talk to you."

"Oh, how's the new school?"

"Oh, you know the typical boarding school. What's new with you?"

"I have a fight tonight. You should come. Everyone misses you."

"I'll think about it. I have baseball practice after school, and I don't think dad will let me out of his sight for long."

"I'll pick you up around 11. Also, dad wouldn't be too happy if he found out you were ditching."

"Wait I," before I could say anything else the line went dead.

I stayed there for the rest of the school day. I was not in the mood for school and the rich, snobby kids that went along with it.
