I let out a grown as I looked out from behind my locker, I could see kyler and his friends waiting but the main exit doors, they give me nothing but hate for actually no reason. "Why the long face" I could feel a smile creep up on me "what long face" I said turning to face him.
Me and hawk have been friends for as long as I can remember, he was the first person I told when I came out as trans. Of course he expected me with open arms and always stood up for me not matter what, even before cobra kai. "That's what I like to hear" he slugged his arm over my sholder and started walking to the doors.
Kyler and his goons look over at me grinning mockingly. Eli saw this and shot them a hard glare making them immediately back down. We got up to them and stopped "got a problem boys" hawk said in an intimidating voice. They all mumbled 'no' and lowered there head. I could feel my smile widen when we walk out the door and onto the street.
"Thanks" I said after a minute or so if walking home "for what? That?" I let out a small chuckle "for that, for everything. You've been there for me throw everything, when no one else was. You've done more for me then anyone I know-" I could feel myself tearing up. "-And I wanted to thank you for that" I said, my voice shaking "hey, hey look at me" I come to a stop. I look up to see his eyes already on me.
"Your my best friend, alright. Nothing on earth can change that. Ever" I smile lightly, and hug him. I really don't know what I'd do without him, he's my only real friend. We finally get home and walk up to his door "you coming in" I nod and walk in and sit on his couch.
"Anything to drink" I look over at him and shrug "surprise me" he nods and walks into the kitchen. I feel my phone buzz and I see it's a text for Miguel. I open it and I see it's a fight video between Eli and some kid from school 'watch till end. That's real friendship🤞'
I frown in confusion "hey Eli come look at this" he walks into the living room and flops on the couch with two flavored waters in his hand "what's up" I grab the water and set it on the other side of me lowering the phone so he can see. I press play once he's all situated and it's him wailing some kid, you can hear people yelling in the background and see other people record the fight.
After a second you can hear someone yelling at Eli to stop and suddenly I can rushing into the since pulling him off of the poor guy pushing back on his chest trying to get them out of there. "Come one you've gotta got" you can hear me tell him pushing him back some more, but he just pushed against me yelling threats at the kid until I finally pulled him away before anyone could get to him.
It ended and I shut off my phone and sigh "I remember that, you almost broke you finger" he chuckled lightly "yeah, no joke"
