4 ~ New Friends

You sighed as you paced around your apartment leaving behind the colorful flowers as you walked. You refused to go back to the moon cafe for the past couple of days. You told the others to go without you since you didn't want to stop them from going. However, they insisted on going with you so you had told them you were sick and you couldn't go

Now it has officially been four days since you made your sick excuse and you knew that the excuse wouldn't work any longer so you were trying to think of other excuses as you paced around your apartment but you had no ideas 

"ugh they aren't going to believe I'm sick anymore" you groaned in frustration but you sighed "maybe I should go outside and get some fresh air I could try to think of something then" you spoke aloud as you decided to go walk around the park to get some inspiration.

You put on a random pair of shoes as you walked out of your apartment and you soon arrived at the familiar park. You decided to sit down on the an open bench as you began trying to think about what you were going to say to your friends to avoid the cafe. However, your thoughts were interrupted by a loud angry voice

"you freak, change it back" you heard the aggressive voice and you looked up confused. You saw two guys a few feet ahead of you. One of the guys looked terrified. His hands were shaking and he seemed to be on the verge of crying.

The other guy in front of the terrified male was aggressively waving his hands as he continued to scream at the male, you cautiously got up from the bench and approached the two 

"I told you to change it back" the guy yelled and pushed the terrified male and he fell to the ground. Your eyes widened and you suddenly wished you had marks super strength. He was a lot better at things like breaking up fights, he could just lift them both and separate them easily.

"I'm sorry I can't" you heard the guy who was pushed over breath out. He was now sat on the ground and the other guy seemed to get even angrier. You felt a rage build inside you, what was this man so angry about. You had many times where people were upset with the flower trail you always left behind but they often just glared never going as far as to start a fight. 

"I want you to change my shirt back to blue you freak" the guy yelled, you looked down at his shirt noticing it was a light yellow. Your eyes widened as you realized what had happened and then soon you felt angry

He was upset about a shirt color

You mustered up your courage and you charged over, you stood in front of the guy on the ground and you yelled at the other guy in front of you "you need to calm down it's just a shirt"

"back off it's none of your business, it's between that freak and I" you felt your blood boil, you hated that word, freak.

You had heard it many times over the years and slowly you learned to hate it. Then you waved your arms in the air with pure rage.

"you know what it's just a shirt color GET OVER IT" you noticed the mans eyes widened as he backed up.

"f-fine" he huffed and walked away. You sighed and you hands were lightly shaking in fear. You were honestly scared of what the guy was going to do, you were definitely not a fighter.

You turned to the guy on the ground and his eyes widened "your eyes" he said in surprise and you pulled out your phone seeing your eyes were a dark red. You took a deep breath and the color slowly faded away, you sighed as you realized why the guy left.

When you were angry the red color of your eyes was actually quite intimidating.

You turned your attention towards the guy again and held out your hand "here, let me help" he gently took your hand and stood up.

"thank you for helping me" he smiled and you smiled back "it's no problem".

Then a tall male began running over and he bumped into the guy in front of you and you held onto him making sure he didn't fall over.

The male look terrified once again as if you were going to yell as he spoke "o-oh no, I'm so sorry"

You looked at him confused and the other tall male who bumped into him froze "oh no please forgive my friend" you were very confused, you looked around and examined yourself to see if anything was wrong.

Then you finally noticed your once blue overalls were a light pastel pink. The guy in front of you must have a color changing power.

You noticed he stared at you with pure fear in his eyes worried that you would be angry. However, you just admired the color as you smiled "THAT'S AMAZING" you screamed and he jumped in surprise. You grabbed his hand and you guided it you your shoulder and your shirt turned from a white to a dark purple. Your eyes lit up in amazement and you squealed.

"y-you don't think I'm a freak because I can't control it" he whispered out but you laughed and then pointed to your feet. His eyes traveled down and he noticed the small patch of flowers there along with the trail of flowers that lead to you.

It was nice to finally met someone else that couldn't control their powers too. It made you feel less lonely, it made you feel like less of a...freak.

"I think it's amazing as you can see I can't control my power either so don't worry" you smiled and the male smiled back. He also seemed to find some sort of comfort knowing you also could not control your powers.

"my name is sicheng and my tall friend over here is lucas"

You smiled "my name is y/n"
