Chapter 4: A job badly done

*Ash Lee's P.O.V*

"Where are you taking me!?" I whined.

"To do what's should have been done an hour ago. To find the new kid!" She shouted back to me starring straight ahead. She gripped my arm with so much force that I thought it might fall of due to loss of circulation.

She dragged me around the school on a frantic search for the new kid, I swear when I find this kid I'm going to give him the biggest slap in the head! This searching business was tiring! Approaching the science building puffing, red faced and out of breath, we both threw our selfs down on the benches and sighed.

"Where the hell is he!" I heard Kim scream from next to me in frustration. "That kid is gonna pay big time!" I puffed as I wiped the sweat from my red flushed face. A moment after I saw some movement from the corner of my eye, I looked over to my left then heard the loud sound of someone rustling paper. It was coming from behind me. It seemed that Kim had heard it too and we both jumped up and turned around in unison to see someone.

He looked completely lost and confused. With a directory map in front of him he reached up one of his hands and scratched his head in confusion. It was the new kid alright. "Hey you!" I screamed as I pointed out one of my fingers at him. "We've been looking for you." I told him as I walked over.

He scanned me as I approached him in a fast pace. His eyes grew large with fear and he stood with his map in his hand helplessly, frozen in fear that I might do something to him. As soon as I got into hands reach of him I reached for his shoulder and applied most of my body weight onto it as I leaned on him to catch my breath. "Don't go walking around the school if you have no idea where you're going ok, it's too much work to find you," I puffed whilst looking up to his slightly frightened face.

"I-I won't," he said shakily.

By then Kim had approached us, she wiped of the last of the sweat on her face and put on a crooked smile. "Hi, I'm Kim," she stated as she pushed out her hand. "Hi," the new kid said as his hand came into contact with Kim's. "I'm Mark," he replied as he blankly looked at her.

"This is Ash Lee," she told him as she flicked her hand at me, I replied to her action with an offended expression. "We will be your new classmates! But right now, we really need to get back to class before Mr Regna cracks it," she said as she gave me a wide eyed glance to remind me that it has in fact been a while since we were sent for this search.

She grabbed both of our arms and pulled us along with her as she began to make her way to the classroom.

Here we go again.

*Kim's P.O.V*

Holding these two idiots arms and running back to class was tiring. I could hear them stumbling as I pulled them. It was almost like they were making me do all of the work. They were behind me, dragging their feet as I pulled both of them along.

"Come on!" I called back to them trying to make them run faster. Instead of a proper response I was answered by the loud puffing of the two boys behind me. 'Weaklings' I thought to myself as I rolled my eyes and took the final turn to the classroom.

I pushed open the classroom door with the last of my strength causing me to fall forwards. Down I went body to the floor, followed by the other two that were pulled down with me. "Owww..." We all groaned at the same time as we all lay on the floor in a stack.

Feeling a enormous amount of pain I looked up to see the whole class staring at us. Hearing the loud sound of someone clearing their throat my eyes widened and I slowly rotated my head to the right to see the very unimpressed face of Mr Regna. He looked at us in great disappointment, he looked at me with great disappointment.

"That took longer than needed," Mr Regna said shaking his head. "I'll deal with you guys later, take a seat please," he said whist trying to contain his anger.

The boys rolled off me slowly. Ash Lee was the first to go to his seat leaving mark and I, the two at the bottom struggling to get up. Mark found his feet before me and staggered over to me to help me up. He put out his hand and gave me a crooked smile. I smiled back to the best extent I could. I reached out and grabbed his hand and he pulled me up.

I walked over to my desk with my head down. I could feel everyone's eyes starring at me. The feeling was terrible I sat down and looked over to my left to see that Mark had taken the seat beside me. I smiled to myself the went back to my work that I has started an hour ago.

Soon after the bell rang and I quickly shoved my belongings into my bag and headed for the door. Also having the same idea was Mark and Ash Lee as they followed not far behind me, pushing past the others.

"And where do you think you're going!" My heart stopped. Mark, Ash Lee and I turned around one by one. Mr Regna was standing behind his desk with his arms crossed, he tapped his foot against the floor at a very uncomfortable and intimidating pace.

"Crap," I said under my breath as I turned my head to the door. I was so close to getting out!

Curse this man and his eagle eyes!
