This is just a filler chapter. Just get to some background on the kids.

A 9 year old Kintrell had just arrived to his second research facility. His previous one, which was known as "Facility 74995" only held children from ages 1-8. The goal at 74995 was to teach the gifted children to control their powers before sending them to the other facilities to be tested on. Kintrell has just arrived to Facility 62943, a facility that specials in enhancement. Once inside the facility all of the new test subjects were crowded into the cafeteria. They knew the drill. They would get in 3 lines, depending on how dangerous they were. Kintrell himself was dangerous, but not enough for him to be sent to a facility that specializes in exploring the abilities of Gifted when they were emotional. Hence why he was at this facility. Kintrell stepped up to the guard. "Cell 29, cell block A." The guard stated. Kintrell just nods and starts walking.

By the time Kintrell got to his cell, he could see two beds. Eddie was sitting on one of them. "Hey Spic, don't you have a quinceanera to get to?" Kintrell asks.

"Yeah, your dad went to the store to get the cake."

Both of them laughed. "I'm Kintrell."

"Eddie."

At facility 81637, life was an entirely different story. It was a facility for the emotional gifted. The conditions were much worse to say the least. Currently, Caitlin was sitting at a table, eating an apple. Alex sat by her. "Wanna see my... Joker-angs?"

Yes.

This is how they became friends.

3 Years Later

Kintrell and Eddie had just been transferred to facility 81637 due to the space capacity being reached. They had only been there for 5 fucking seconds when Chaos broke loose. Guards were dead everywhere. The kids had fucking lost it. Alex ran over to the two. "Yo, Glenn Rhee and Aladdin! Follow me before you get killed!" The boy yelled before running off. The boys exchanged a look, but followed.

"Psst! Psycho bitch!" Alex yelled.

Caitlin looked over. "Alex, where the fuck have you been?!" She paused and looked at the boys. "And who are they?"

"Two dumbasses who looked lost."

"Kintrell."

"Eddie. We're new. I think?"

"Ah. Well. Welcome. We're breaking out."

Odd start to a friendship. But hey, nothing starts good friendships like prison breaks!

2 Years Later

Caitlin was walking down the street. She had gone out to get pizza, and was now on her way back to the academy. She was almost there when she heard a crying. She stopped and looked around. She walked closer to the crying. And there it was. A baby. Caitlin looked around, but there was no sign of the parents. Caitlin sighs. She knew she couldn't leave the kid. It was raining, the kid would definitely get sick. She carefully picked the baby up. She spotted a small note on the ground. It only said the name.

Katie

"Katie. Huh? Well, I'll make sure you stay safe Katie."
