During her last class of the day, Emma couldn't stood bobbing her leg up and down. The club was finally starting today and Emma was too excited to see what was in store. When the teacher dismissed the class, Emma shot up and packed all her stuff before rushing off to her dorm. Along the way she accidentally bumped into Natalie and they dropped their books. "I'm so sorry," said Emma blushing. Natalie chuckled, "it's okay." They picked up their books and ended up reaching for the same one. Their hands touched, and they both looked up at each other. When they made eye contact, they both blushed before quickly collecting the rest of their books and standing up. "So," Natalie said as they started walking to the dorms, "how were your classes today?" Emma smiled. "Classes were pretty good today. I just couldn't wait for them to end because the club starts today." Natalie chuckled. "Yeah. I felt the same way. I couldn't wait to get out of class." "I know we might not get to do much today in the club but it's still exciting. I'm so curious to see who else joined," said Emma. Natalie nodded and they reached their dorm. They quickly put their books away before they started walking towards the club. Emma thought for a second before grabbing Natalie's hand. "I'm pretty comfortable with holding hands. Should we start to do something else?" Asked Emma. Natalie thought for a moment. "Well," she said. "I think we should just continue holding hands for now and later we can think of something else to do." "Ok," Emma said. "Sounds good to me." After they both agreed, they kept walking hand in hand to the club. Once they got to the club room, they saw that there were so many people that joined. They looked around for a place to sit but only found one seat open. "You can sit on my lap," Natalie suggested. "Or we could both stand." "You don't mind me sitting on your lap?" Emma asked. Natalie smiled, "not at all. I'm fine with it." "Ok," Emma said. "Then lets go sit down before the seat is taken." The two rushed over to the seat that was thankfully in the back of the room. Natalie sat down and Emma carefully descended onto her lap, trying not to hurt her. Natalie wrapped her arms around Emma's torso and pulled her back slightly into her chest. Emma blushed slightly but didn't have time to say anything before the teacher walked to the front of the room. "Hello class. I'm Mr. Zulo but you can just call me Mr. Z. I'm glad that you all joined up for this club! We will be doing plenty of things to help dogs in shelters. I'm going to pass out these sheets with the dates of activities and such. You can read through it and decide which activities you would want to participate in." When the sheets got to Emma and Natalie, they both took one and passed the rest of the stack to the person sitting next to them. They both looked at the sheet and saw that the club will be visiting many different animal shelters across the country and to many different places where stray animals needed help. As Emma looked at all of the different activities, she got excited and pointed out some of the places that they could go to Natalie. "I can't wait to participate," she said. "Yeah! This seems like it will be a lot of fun and of course we will be able to help animals in need." After a few minutes of club members discussing club activities, the teacher spoke again. "Because this is the first meeting there really wasn't much to talk about. So I'm going to let you guys go and enjoy the rest of your day." As they were almost out the door Natalie asked, "do you want to go to the cafeteria to eat?" "Yeah," replied Emma, "I'm starving."
