*Ashlyn's POV*

I stared Buffy square in the eye, my gaze menacing. I pulled two blades from my top as Buffy's shocked stare turned to one of fury and hate. I smirked and yelled as I pounced.
He grabbed both of my hands and tried to strangle the knives out of my hands. I grunted as his fingers dug into my skin, and I slammed his back into the wall. I drove my knee as hard as I could into his ribs and he gasped as the air was knocked out of his lungs.
"How's it feel?" I said childishly with a smirk. I got a sudden burst of adrenaline as he swayed and tried to catch his breath. I swiftly kicked him across the face and threw him to the ground. He hit the floor with a satisfying thud, and glared at me furiously. He grabbed my foot and twisted my ankle, so I lost balance and fell to the ground. He climbed on top of me, punched my bad rib, and I screamed out. He began throwing punches across my face and I blocked as much as I could. Between his punches, I held his arms down and slammed the frontal bone of my skull into his nose.
He grunted and stumbled back, clutching his now bleeding nose. and I swiftly kicked him across the face with all the force I had left. With that, he fell to the ground, and I stood in the dead silent room, panting heavily.
I wiped my forehead and ran my hair back. I was an exhausted mess and I now had fresh cuts, bruises and possibly breaks. Now, I had to navigate and fight my way out of this hell by myself.
I stumbled over to the wall with the door and changed back into X-ray mode. With a closer look, I could see there was what looked like a little square that might've been a fingerprint thing you needed to get inside. But there was no way to get out.
I turned around and looked to Buffy's body, knocked out cold. I patted him down and found what looked like a tiny chip in the shape of a disk with a tiny button in the middle. I pressed the button and nothing seemed to happen.
"I wonder..." I whispered to myself.
I walked back over to the wall and held down the button. I tried to touch the wall where the door was, and my hand went straight through it. I sighed in relief and tentatively walked through the wall and looked down the hallway to my right then my left. I jumped and whipped out my knives when I saw a group of people walking away in the opposite direction. I walked quietly behind them when I realized they looked familiar. I'd seen those uniforms before...
My hands wielding my knives dropped to my side and I spoke in a voice so quiet I though they couldn't've heard me.
"Guys...?" I said softly. I saw everyone tense at the same time and spin around, expressions clearly of shock.
"Ashlyn?" Alysa said in disbelief, striding forward and grabbing my forearms to make sure it was me, everyone trailing behind her.
"Princess?" Sophia choked out. I looked to her to see she was already crying, and everyone quickly engulfed me in a tight hug.
"You found me." I whispered in disbelief, my voice raspy and choked up.
"Did you think we'd ever give up?" Nathan said after we broke up our huddle. I smiled joyously, even though it hurt like hell. Nathan approached me and offered me something in his hand. I realized it was my bow, silver, and gleaming in perfect condition. "I think this belongs to you." he said with a small smile. I grinned and accepted it from him, and I felt myself come alive with the feeling of a bow in my hand again.
"Are you ok? Like what the hell happened to your face?" Joe spoke up, breaking the silence. I laughed because I couldn't've expected anything more from Joe.
"Long story, and we'll catch up with that later. Let's get this over with." I said with determination, my adrenaline pumping again.
"WP-8gency...." Rhandy started slowly. "Assemble."
"No, no, no. What the fuck. Why would you do that man?" Joe said, cringing.
"Do what! You ruined the moment now!" Rhandy complained.
Everyone rolled their eyes and Joe, Carson, and Nathan glared at him.
"You're such an oaf." Nathan muttered under his breath.
We came up with a plan to split up in three teams of three. Me, Nathan, and Sophia, Alysa, Rianna, and Joseph, and Carson, Rhandy, and Asena.
"See you guys on the other side." I said with a smile and a wink.
Alysa and Carson's team went down opposite corridors while my team went upstairs to the next level to finally find the boss.
After what felt like hours of fighting, searching, and running, we made it to the top floor and the air somehow felt colder, like something malicious was present. We all walked lightly down the corridor and I turned on my heat detection eyes. My irises turned to a bright orange, and I turned to Nathan and Sophia. Nathan looked at me and flinched, dropping his sword with a deafening bang.
"OH. MY. GOD." Sophia whisper shouted at him, punching him in the shoulder. "SHUT UP. WE'RE ON A MISSION."
"SHE SCARED ME!" Nathan shouted back, and me and Sophia punched him again to keep him quiet. He picked up his sword and quietly grumbled to himself.
We turned a corridor and at the end of it, there was an iron door, and no other way to go. I ran to the door with light steps, and observed it, looking up and down it's length. Nathan appeared beside me and reached his hand out to touch it. I snatched his wrist and squeezed it hard.
"Ow! What the heck?" He whispered.
I rolled my eyes and ripped a piece of fabric from my mangled shirt. I tossed it at the door and it was immediately zapped. The fabric floated to the ground, charred and smoking. I smirked mockingly at Nathan and he rolled his eyes.
"Damn there's no way for me to see where the electric current's coming from. This'd be a good time for Rianna." I said, squinting at the door.
"Won't your X-ray vision work?" Sophia asked.
"No, it wouldn't. This is electricity, it's different. I'd need something else..."
Suddenly, I felt a new sensation in my eyes and I gasped as I felt electricity coursing through my veins from my toes all the way to my pupils.
"Ash, you have a new power." Sophia said, shocked. I took out one of my blades and looked at my reflection in the silver. Sophia was right. My eyes were now a brilliant combination of green and blue, and I could practically see the electricity coursing and jolting inside my irises.
"Oooo, I like this one." I said excitedly, grinning at Sophia and Nathan.
"Still creeps me out..." Nathan muttered, which I ignored. He'd get used to it someday.
"Ok this is convenient. Now I can see all tech and electronics I think. I'll have Rianna check it out later." I said. I turned back to the door, focusing back on our mission. "Ok there's a fuse box right...here." I said pointing to a spot on the ceiling.
"Ok I'll just use my sword to—" Nathan began, preparing to stab his sword into the ceiling.
"NO DON'T!" I shouted, grabbing his arm. He looked at me questioningly. "Your sword is a combination of many metals and no matter how precious those metals are or how magic your sword is, you'd still be electrocuted."
He pouted and rested his sword at his side. "I never get to use my sword..."
"Sophia I think the only way this'll work is with your sorcery. Blast that fuse box."
Sophia stepped up and blasted the spot I indicated on the ceiling and I looked back at the door to see the electric current die.
"Ok let's go." I said. Nathan jabbed his sword into the crease of the door where the lock was and we entered another hall. It was shorter and almost pitch black, and at the end, lied ominous double doors.
I glanced at Nathan and Sophia and continued down the hall cautiously when Nathan pulled me back by the arm. He stepped forward and gave me an expression saying it'd be better if he took the lead. I nodded and walked next to Sophia. We reached the double doors and Nathan pressed his hand against it, rose his sword, and drove it right through the middle, the doors bursting open and revealing a vast room. The only way I could describe it was dark and elegant.
All the way in the back of the room was a large, dark oak desk, centered in the room. The large chair had its back to us.
"It's over! Turn around and just surrender!" Nathan shouted, holding his sword up.
"You're way out numbered!" I shouted in my most stern voice I reserved for missions and yelling at Joe or Nathan.
"Yeah dude hurry up I'm hungry!" Sophia yelled, completely serious. Me and Nathan gave her a look and she shrugged.
"I have to say I'm very impressed..." said a voice, that was once again, morphed by a voice modifier. "I did not expect such an immature young group to be able to pull off a mission like this. Hats off to that Rianna girl. It's a shame really. We could've used someone like her."
"She'd never join your league." Sophia shouted venomously.
The voice laughed, but it was dark and gave me chills.
"We can help you!" I shouted. Nathan and Sophia looked at me and I waved them away as I began walking forward.
"Ha! You think you could help me? No one can. This is a dark world filled with horrible people and horrible things. I'm trying to do what no one else is willing to do. We had a system, once upon a time. You do wrong, you're tortured or killed. Now, we've gone soft. I'm going to lead this world into a better solution."
"With genocide and dictatorship?" I shouted incredulously.
"Call it what you may."
"Ok, well it's over! We're going to take you down right now. You can come easily or we'll do this the hard way. Turn around!" Nathan shouted.
"If you say so."
The person swiveled around in their chair and I could see it was a man. He looked younger then I'd expected and he was wearing a black suit and a mask that covered his mouth so he could change his voice.
I walked quickly to his desk and did a double take. He took off his mask and a jagged scar ran from his cheek, across his cheek bone, and disappeared into his dark hair. My eyes ran over his face and I clapped my hand over my mouth in horror.
"Riley..."
