Smoke

Smoke can be hard to breath. That's what Mike feel's every time Will is around. He can't breath around him. Even when he was with his all of his friends, he still couldn't breath. It's been 3 months since Mike and Jane were together. Mike didn't wanna hurt Jane so he talked to her about things. Like what was pride month and how girls can like girls and boys like boys. Jane found it interesting in girls liking girls and wanted to try. Mike smiled and he said he wanted to try boys liking boys. Mike and Jane hugged it out and he went to Lucas and Dustin.

"Me and Jane are taking a break but its ok. She's ok and I'm ok." He looked around, "where's Will?"

"By himself drawing. Max told us that he has to go to the hospital soon. For his monsters." Dustin said eating the chocolate pudding. Mike frowned. It felt Will wouldn't be in his future. Mike would do anything to save Will, even if he has to take his place. Mike hopped onto his bike and biked to Will's house. He wanted to see him and talk to him. He got to Will's house and knocked. Will's brother Jonathan opened the door.

"Is Will here?" , Jonathan nodded letting him in. Mike walked into the house and went up to Will's door.

"Will?"

Nothing, no noise was made. Mike frowned and opened the door slowly. There was Will drawing as he hums really softly Should I Stay or Should I Go? Mike found Will really fragile and delicate. Mike went over to him and sat down next to him. Will kept drawing but wasn't humming anymore. Mike carefully put his arm around Will holding him close, Will cried softly. Will didn't wanna go to the hospital. He hated it there, especially when he was alone. Mike rubbed his back and looked at the drawing. It was a picture of a tree craved with the letter W + . Nothing. Maybe he wasn't finished.
"Mike?"
Mike looked down at the small boy. His cheeks were slightly pink, his eyes were clear and watery as well.
"Yes Will?"
"I don't wanna go back. I rather stay here. I rather have someone then be alone. Mike please help me."
Mike frowned and pulled Will into his lap. He hugged him carefully, holding him to his heart.
"I will always be here Will. You know I will never leave your side. Your fragile Will. I don't want anyone to break you. I wanna protect you from those monsters and people. I want- I-I need you Will Byers."
There was just a long pause. Mike looked away from Will, he didn't wanna see his face. Broken or anything. The truth Mike felt he couldn't breath. He just told Will the truth, he didn't know what Will would say. More silence filled the room, Mike closed his eyes. He felt a small hand on his cheek, turning his face. Mike opened his eyes to see Will. Mike couldn't move, Will could though. Will pulled him close, kissing him softly on the lips. Mike's heart just exploded. He kisses back into Wills lips. He slowly pulled away for fresh air.
   "I waited for so long for this moment."
         "Me too Mike."
