A hole in my heart,
And I just can't start,
Start to feel a beat,
Find someone to meet,
I just can't feel a beat.
Alone in this world,
I'm falling down down.
Down to the ground where I land with a crash,
Oh I'm so mashed.
Banged up and bruised.
I've got so much to lose,
But I can't lose another,
Oh why do I bother?
Nothing is right.
Nothing is bright.
Everything's dark.
My life's so stark.
Burned to the ground,
My hope lost to me,
Flying away,
In a torment of flames.
Oh why do I bother?
My mother and Father
Never there for me,
Yet I can still see,
See in the dark,
While everything's stark and so dark.
Can't see an outline,
Can't see a way,
But I always know,
That there's a path too.
But it's not for me,
It's just for you.
Spiraling down,
Down below the ground.
You took the path,
And I'm left in the dark,
Everything stark,
Can't find my footing,
Alone with no rooting.
Alone in this world.
Alone long at last.
