Matty's POV

"Hey love. Did you miss me?" I said poking fun while taking a seat beside her.

She looked pissed and I found it really funny that fate was making something happen for us.

"You guys know each other already?" Adam's girlfriend Jade asks looking at both of us quizzically.

I waited for her to speak assuming she wanted to answer that question but she just shook her head in exasperation.

"Yeah, she left me heart broken at the bar because she didn't even give me her name and just left me there alone after we hit it off so well. A wee bit unfair wouldn't you say?" I said to everyone in the hopes of making her react and start to talk to me again or was I just really really drunk now.

"What?! Left you heart broken? We did not hit if off! You're the rude one who spilt punch all over me and did not apologize to me for that matter." She finally caved and answered with the fire I encountered a few minutes ago.

"And my lady speaks, finally." I said smiling at her which made her huff once again and shoot me dagger like looks that could kill. The alcohol was really taking it up a notch.

Adam probably didn't want any trouble from me, seeing that his expression turned to worry now and I felt that Jade was about to fight me for the sake of her friend which can lead to trouble for all of us.

We do not want that, after all this was a friend of his girlfriends that I was intrigued by, if I screw this up it might screw them up too. And I do not want either to happen.

"What you do that for Matt, c'mon apologize already so we can all eat in peace." Adam finally says in the hopes of stopping a potential riot.

"You want to go to the restroom Scar?" Jade finally asks which is slowly turning bad for me.

"Ok, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't watch where I was walking and spilt punch on you. I didn't mean it, I swear. Can we please start over?" I said looking at her with pleading eyes and waiting for her to respond.

"Are you sorry for being a dick and an ass too?" she said facing me with her poker face.

I was about to protest because I was certainly not both, but I felt the glare of everybody seated around the table pointed at me and so I decided to end my protest instead.

"Yes, I'm sorry for that too. Now can we have a do over now, please love?" I said. And then she took in a deep breath and held out her hand to me.

"I'm Scarlet and I'm pretty sure your breath smells like whiskey right now." She said humour evident in her tone and a smirk finally forms on that beautiful face of hers for once.

"I'm Matty and weddings have always bored me out, until today." I answered back grinning.
