Matty's POV

"That was priceless." I said to her smiling as we tried to find her car, walking side by side.

Thank God I can still walk properly or else she will have a bigger problem than finding her car.

"Found it!" she exclaimed which made me alert and then she motioned for me to go in the passenger side.

Then when we were inside she added,

"Yeah, I can't believe I punched the best man square in the face! I think I'm starting to like weddings now." She said giving a light laugh.

"You alright then love?" I asked her remembering the way she looked when all eyes were on her.

She looked like she was about to break down in tears, cornered into a side and just about ready to faint all at the same time which scared me. I did not understand why too.

"Yes, Matty I'm ok now thanks to you. Thank you for saving me back there." Seriousness and gratitude tingeing her voice as she said this. She was facing me now and looked deeply into my eyes.

"I suppose that makes up for my rudeness at the bar huh?" I said smirking at her. "Truce?"

"Maybe." She said giving me a playful pat on the shoulder. "Truce."

"Since were friends now, can I ask about your speech, you really don't like Dionne that much huh Matty? Be honest with me please." she asked as she backed out of the parking space and then out of the venue.

"Hey, I'm drunk. I just said what was on the top of my mind." I answered thankful she wasn't looking directly at me, I was trying to keep the conversation light not knowing if she will react badly or not because Dionne is her friend from what I gathered.

And we were getting somewhere now, she doesn't hate me anymore.

"She can be a bitch sometimes but give her a chance, she does have a good heart, somewhere." She started on.

"And I think she loves your friend Will so you don't have to worry about it. Just give her a chance, give them a chance."

Oh if she only knew what her friend had been doing with guys. What her friend and I shared, she would think twice about me, about everything.

"It was epic by the way, your speech. You can be a comedian." She said matter of factly.

"Oh and Matty, where in the world are we going?" she added, which I had trouble hearing for some reason I do not know why. Maybe the spliff had side effects?
