Too Deep pt. 2

                   It was hard having someone in your life one minute and having them be gone the next, Edwin knew he had no right missing stass like he was, she was never his to miss, she was never his to love but he still fell for her. When they first started messing around it was simple there were not any feelings on either end and it was all just about having fun and blowing off steam, he was never supposed to catch feelings and he was never supposed to have his heart broken.

Its been two weeks since stass and Edwin have last messed around, two weeks since she broke the news of her engagement to him, she expected that to be their last encounter, she was barely at her husbands work place to run into him again. So imagine her shock when she walked into her house after a girls day of planning her wedding to find Edwin and another coworker of theirs Brandon she thinks his name is sitting on her living room couch.

"hi honey, I don't know if you remember Edwin or Brandon but they work with me at the office, we were just talking about you" Jacob said smile bright on his face not knowing that he was sitting chatting it up with someone who just had her moaning their name two weeks ago.

Edwin eyed her closely waiting for her to turn and acknowledge him, when Jacob had originally called him over to hang out with him and Brandon he was going to decline he didn't want to sit and play friendly with someone who was marrying the girl he was in love with, but the thought of seeing stass again outweighed all that misplaced anger at Jacob and he agreed, now here she was standing in front of him and not even giving him a glance.

stass turned her head to Brandon and gave him a small smile as she avoided edwins burning gaze "hi, Its nice to see you both again, I'll let you boys get back to whatever you were doing I'm tired, Jacob ill see you upstairs" she walked over to her fiancé still avoiding edwins gaze and gave him a quick peck on the lips which he then deepened, when she was finally allowed to breathe she turned towards the stairs cheeks burning pink as she headed to her bedroom.

"wheres your bathroom?" Edwin asked Jacob

"up the stairs second door on the left" he pointed to the staircase and Edwin nodded and headed towards the stairs, he made sure to shut the bathroom door as he walked further down the hall to stass and Jacobs bedroom, he knocked softly on the door and waited for the come in.

Stass knew it was edwin who was knocking on her room door, she opted to just ignore him until he went away knowing he would never disrespect her privacy by just barging in but she wanted to give him the closure he deserved, she had to let him know she was never going back to what they had two weeks ago.

"Come in" she said, Edwin walked through a distressed look on his face "hi edwin"

"Oh so now you know who I am" he rolled his eyes "you ignored me altogether down stairs"

"I don't want to do this with you edwin, this is my home, my fiancé's home, I won't disrespect him under this roof" she said

"no you'll only disrespect him in the privacy of my house huh" he snapped at her

"You're out of line" she wasn't dealing with his guilt tripping today, she felt terrible as is but she was doing everything in her power to make up for her mistake of sleeping with Edwin

"Just tell me that there's nothing you feel for me and I'll leave you alone" he told her looking her dead in the face

she sighed, she didn't want to hurt him but she couldn't keep leading him on and giving him false hope

"Edwin there's nothing between us, will never be anything between us and what was between us was strictly sex and I'll never go back to that, I'm in love with Jacob" she said and she could see the heartbreak show over his face as she spilled out her truth to him.
"I'm sorry"

"Yeah me too" he said as he turned on his heels and walked out the bathroom, he walked back downstairs and right past Jacob and Brandon and out the door, leaving both his "friends" confused as to what could be going on with their friend to make him leave so suddenly.

Edwin sat in his car outside of her house tears threatening to fall from his eyes and started his keys and pulled off.

This love shit was beyond overrated.
