When Janae broke up with nick she thought it was what was best for the both of them, she didn't want to be with someone who made her feel like she had to compete to be with him and he wanted to act single so she let him be single. It was that simple really so she didn't understand why he couldn't let her go.

It had been two weeks since she last caught him texting other girls, calling them baby and entertaining them, she called it quits right then and there not caring about his argument of "you shouldn't have been lurking through my phone, you know what they say, lurk and get hurt" she was livid but then realized that she was better than that, there's more fish in the sea and there's someone out there that's going to recognize real and appreciate her and she found him.

Keith was a recent graduate from the same college she attends, she met him when as cliche as it sounds she accidentally almost hit him with her car when he was visiting the campus...

She was backing out of the campus parking lot anxious to get to her favorite local coffee shop before they closed, she was eager to get fresh baked brownies, she had been craving chocolate since that morning, that was the excuse she used as to why she didn't check her rear view mirrors where she would have noticed Keith casually strolling behind her car onto campus grounds.

She hit her breaks hard, the wheels burning into the pavement making the annoying screeching sound like nails on the chalkboard, she gasped then got out of her car stomping around to the guy she had almost hit angry. "What the fuck, did your mom not teach you how to cross the street?" she seethed

"Did yours not teach you how to check your rear view mirrors?" He countered eyebrow raised and a small ghost of a smile playing on his lips, she rolled her eyes at him attitude slowly fading away but still anxious she almost killed someone

"I was in a hurry, so I didn't check but neither did you so we are both in the wrong" she said and he laughed

"Alright so how about I not sue you for reckless endangerment if you agree to let me teach you how to drive and take you out?"

"I guess that's a deal" they shook hands and exchanged numbers and she got back into her car gleaming, just when she thought there wasn't any such thing as a decent guy she finds one.

She hit things off immediately with Keith, the relationship was a bit fast paced even for her, they went on two dates before making themselves official, she normally would be scared of moving so fast but with Keith everything seemed so simple and she was living a life of pure bliss, she was finally happy.

That was all short lived when her and Keith ran into nick one day while out to lunch, the awkward meeting was something she wanted to forget but instead unraveled a series of events in her life that taught her one of her most valuable lessons...

After the unexpected meet up nick started to reach back out to her, through texts, calls, DMs and even emails. She was starting to get frustrated and finally answered a text message

Janae was frustrated, she was tired of being played with, nick doesn't get to come back into her life and screw it up all over again she was happy with keith and she's determine to stay that way.
