Her name was K. Well it was short for her real name but no one ever cared to ask about her real name so it was just K. She was definitely an outcast. She never made any friends as a teenager or even now as a young adult. Her favorite color was black, she never wore makeup, and she wasn't one of the popular girls, so no one wanted to be around her. She was ok with that though, because no one could betray her if she didn't have friends, right? Well today was her first time going out in a while. She was supposed to be meeting some guy she had met on the internet. They had been talking for some weeks and he finally asked her out for drinks. She didn't want to be rude and reject him. She was dreading it because let's face it, it's better to just stay inside so she didn't have to socialize and could be alone. Who was she kidding? No one wants to be alone.

It was 9pm. 30 minutes until the "date" and she had taken a shower and attempted to look as presentable as possible. She wore a black spaghetti strapped dress that come to her ankles and had a split up to her thigh on one side. Her black hair fell past her waist in curls. She didn't do her makeup, though. She didn't think it would matter. It was just drinks anyway. She thought she had already outdone herself. She sighed as she looked in the mirror.

"Let's get this over with."

She gave herself one last glance and grabbed her car keys and headed out the door.

The bar was pretty close to her house. If she ended up too drunk to drive home she could always walk. She pulled into the parking lot, parking next to a beautiful black Chevy Impala. It was her dream car. She made a mental note to try and scope out who might drive it and compliment them on it. She got out of her small white Camaro and locked her doors. She hesitated before walking inside.

The smell of liquor hit her hard as she opened the door. There wasn't talking from anyone at all. The only sounds were the loud music from the stereo and from the sounds of the people at the pool table. She made her way to the bar and sat down. The bartender was drying a glass with a towel. He gave her a small smile before asking.

" What'll it be madam?" He had an accent that sounded British.

"Um just a beer, thanks."

He gave her a nod and grabbed her beer.

"I'll take one of those too" Came a gruff voice.

K turned around and saw an unbelievably attractive man at the counter. He had the greenest eyes that gleamed like emeralds. She was starting to wonder if he was her date until he gave her a wink and a smile, then turned and walked off. She sighed and took a sip of her beer.

A few minutes later a burly man came in and sat next to her at the bar. He was very attractive as well. Very muscular, brown hair, blue eyes, and had a nice suit on.

He smiled at her and held his hand out, "You must be Alice! It's nice to finally meet you. Im Ronnie, and might I add that you are more beautiful than I imagined!" He exclaimed.

K shook his hand. "It's nice to meet you too and thank you. You look very nice yourself." She put on her best smile. He ordered a glass of whiskey and they both talk for about an hour or two.

K left a tip for the bartender and told Ronnie it was getting late she needed to get back home.

They said their goodbyes and she left the bar, Ronnie still inside. She walked out to her car and unlocked the door. As she was opening it, someone grabbed it from behind her and slammed it shut. She turned around to see Ronnie. Confused, she smiled and put a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Oh you scared me Ronnie. I had a great time tonight. It was actually pretty fun and I'm glad we got to know each other."

He smirked and grabbed her arm, "Yeah I bet. You know, it's not very nice to lie to someone you just met. First impressions are everything, Katherine."
