It was now September. K had met a guy, Arthur, at a park 3 months ago and they been dating since. He was very attractive. He had brown eyes and long dark hair, was very muscular and had tattoos, and was only a year older than her. Their relationship was definitely rocky at first. When he became drunk he would turn very aggressive and she hated to be around him. But she would bear me through the rough times and always give him the benefit of the doubt. When he was sober he would make her feel special, buying her new clothes, or taking her to fancy restaurants, or giving her cash to go to the mall. He was fun to be around when he wasn't drinking. But every weekend was a different story. Arthur told K he wanted to go have drinks with some friends and even though she didn't like the idea, she didn't argue.
"Just please don't drink too much and not be able to drive home." K told him.
Arthur stared into her bright green eyes and smiled. He kissed her lips.
"I won't I promise. Are you going anywhere tonight?" He asked.
"No I think I'm just gonna stay here and read a book." She replied.
"Whatever nerd, I love you." He laughed and grabbed his keys and left.
K sighed. She went to her book shelf and grabbed her favorite book The Hobbit and began to read it for the thousandth time. She didn't mind though.

Halfway through her book, she looked at the clock on the mantle. It was 11pm. Arthur wasn't home and she was getting worried. Figuring she may get to skip a fight, she hurried off to bed. She dozed off for about an hour but was awaken to her bathroom door being slammed. She sat up in bed and looked around. She could hear Arthur moving things around in her bathroom cabinets. The door swung open and he left the room without saying anything. Curious, K got out of bed and followed him into the kitchen.
"Hey hun is something wrong?" She asked standing in the doorway.
Arthur looked at her, the look of rage on his face. "Oh everything is fine. Why don't you go talk to Sam Winchester?"
K had a look of shock and confusion. "What are you talking about Arthur and how do you know Sam?" She asked.
"Oh so it's true?" He held up the card Sam gave her months ago. She had almost forgotten about him.
"Whatever you don't have to explain. Just go be with him since you've obviously been seeing him." He slurred his words.
"Arthur I asked you not to drink so much because Everytime you do, we fight. I don't like fighting with you."
"I don't care. You're not gonna tell me what to do whore." He said.
"I'm not a whore! I've never slept with Sam so you need to stop. He was a friend from before I even met you!"
Arthur had heard enough. He grabbed K's arm really tight and wouldn't go.
"Let go of me Arthur." She said through gritted teeth.
"Don't you dare tell me what to do." He said whirl squeezing her arm and twisting it backwards. K gasped in pain and fel to her knees. She was not gonna give up and let him win. She hit him in the stomach as hard as she could with her free hand and Arthur released her. "Don't get brave Katherine. We both know your not gonna hurt me." He laughed.
He was wrong. She was tired of his tantrums. She had had enough. She got up and ran to her hall closet to grab her baseball bat. But she wasn't fast enough. She turned around to hit Arthur but he grabbed the bat from her and threw it down the hall. He grabbed her by her throat and pinned her against the wall. He punched her in the face.
"Arthur.. please.." she choked out.
Arthur laughed and smiled evilly. "You should learn your manners when talking to me." He hit her again.
Through tears and blood she spat at him. "Screw you Arthur." He hit her once again, this time dropping her afterwards and laughed as she hit the floor and gasped for air.
K watched as Arthur grabbed his keys and coat and left. Barely able to see, K made her way to her bedroom and got her cellphone. She dialed the only number that she knew would help.
"Who is this and why do you have this number?" Sam's tired voice came through the phone.
K could barely catch her breath through her sobs. "Sam.. please hurry." She managed to get out.
"K?" He sounded worried and alert now. "where are you? What happened?"
"Home." Was all she could get to come out before she passed out.
