"Look Dean, I'm sorry about tonight." K told him as they entered the bunker. It was dark and quiet, so Sam must've been in the bed already.
"It doesn't matter. I'll leave you alone like you want. You don't have to leave but whatever you decide, I'm not stopping you." He said back. K felt hurt. Even if she did blow him off.  Maybe she needed to let him cool off and she'll talk to him and see if they can at least be friends. She needed a friend right now. She was snatched from her thoughts as Dean slammed his door in the hallway. She was left with nothing but the sound of the generators keeping the bunker alive. She sat at the table in silence and closed her eyes. A few moments later she heard a door shut softly. Not caring to look, K sat still.
"Hey. Can't sleep?" Sam's tired voice asked. K opened her eyes. He was walking towards the kitchen.
"Yeah you could say that." K responded. She rubbed her hands over her face then through her long, black hair. Sam came back into the room with a glass of water and set it in front of K.
"Thank you." She told him, grabbing it and taking a sip.
"Wanna watch some TV? I always fall asleep during movies. Maybe it'll help you too." He chuckled a little.
"Sure. It couldn't hurt." She smiled.

They walked into Sam's room and Sam went to his dresser and grabbed a t shirt. He held it out to K.
"You can wear this if you wanted to change."
K smiled and thanked him. She went to his bathroom and observed herself in the mirror. The bruises left from Arthur were almost unnoticeable now. She took off Dean's jacket and stared at it for a moment. How could a man like Dean act like he cared so much but at the same, act like he didn't? He seemed like such a good guy. Sure, maybe rough around the edges, but she was sure he had a good side. She folded the jacket and set it on the counter. She then changed into Sam's large shirt. It stopped just below her shorts. She put her hair into a messy bun and sighed. She really needed to get out and do something fun. But would she ever be able to? She grabbed the jacket and came back into Sam's room. He was sitting cross legged on his bed, propped up on some pillows against the wall, flipping through movie options.
"I'll be right back." K told him. Sam nodded. K walked into the main room of the bunker and left Dean's jacket on the table neatly folded. She walked into the kitchen, turned on the light, and went throught the cabinets until found what she was looking for. Popcorn. She put it in the microwave and let it cook. When it was done, she walked back to Sam's room.
He had finally picked a movie, The Maze Runner. K got in Sam's bed and sat beside him, handing him the popcorn. Sam laughed and gladly accepted.
Halfway through the movie, K was falling asleep. Sam noticed, because he pulled his blanket up and K laid her head on Sam's shoulder. She listened to the sound of Sam's steady breathing, and fell asleep in no time.

When K woke up, she was laying down now instead of sitting up. Sam wasn't beside her anymore. She rubbed her eyes and looked around. The smell of coffee was strong and evident. She sat up and stretched before getting up and going to the door. She opened the door and could immediately hear shouting. From the Winchesters.

"Dean she couldn't sleep. She just wanted a friend." She heard Sam say.
"My ass, Sam. She told me she wanted to be alone, yet she has no problem being around you." Dean shouted back, angrily.
"Don't be like this Dean, you know nothing happened. I know you have feelings for her." Sam contradicted.
"Whatever feelings I had for her are gone, Sam. We both know we can't risk it." Dean said a little more quietly.
"I know, Dean. I just think you should consider her feelings at least a little." Sam ended the conversation. K waited a few minutes before walking into the room so they didn't suspect that she was eavesdropping. Sam greeted her presence with a warm smile. Dean nodded at her and poured a cup of fresh coffee, handing it to her. She sat down at the table and sipped it. Sam sat down as well, opening his laptop.
"So I think I found a case. All signs point to a vetala."
Dean took a swig of his own coffee. "Alright grab the silver blades and we'll head out. K, dont burn the place down." Dean told her.
"Wait what?" K asked. "You're leaving me here alone? How long are you gonna be gone?" She didn't want to be alone.
"A couple days tops." Dean answered. "There's food, t.v., books, anything you need to keep you occupied. You should be fine."
K scoffed. "I don't want to be by myself for 'a couple of days'. Can I at least go outside?" She asked.
"Don't go too far, please. You don't know the area and you never know who could be outside." Sam said.
K rolled her eyes. "Fine." She said. She watched as the boys loaded up two dingy duffle bags and walked up the old stairs leading outside.

                  ------------------------------

A whole day had passed and K couldn't take the silence anymore. She had to find something to do. She called Cas, just to have someone to talk to, but he didn't answer. She sighed and walked to the staircase the boys left out of. She hesitated for a moment, but went outside anyway. It was cold out so she went back in and went to Dean's room. She didn't have a jacket there so she borrowed one of his. She went back out and decided to go for a walk. She told herself she wouldn't go too far, she just needed some fresh air.

She stepped out into the cold air. It wasn't quite dark but it was getting close. The wind blew and she watched the leaves on the trees dance together.  She pulled Dean's jacket over her and started walking. She had only been walking for a few minutes when she heard a low growl. She whipped around in the direction it came from but didn't see anything. Shrugging it off as maybe the wind, but still playing it safe, she started to head back to the bunker. She heard the growl again but this time it was closer. She turned in every direction but still found nothing. She quickly pulled out her phone and dialed Dean's number. He picked up immediately.
"K? Please tell me the bunker isn't on fire." He told her.
"Dean there's something following me." She told him hurriedly.
"Where are you?" He half asked half shouted.
"In the woods by the bunker. Please hurry I don't know where it is." She was pure shaking. She could see the entrance to the bunker but before she could get close to it, she was snatched back. She dropped her phone on the ground and fell as well, landing on her stomach. She looked back and saw a very hairy man with orange eyes and razor sharp teeth. She kicked and pulled away from him but he kept pulling her legs. She grabbed for her phone but couldn't quite reach it. She could hear Dean yelling her name, but her voice was caught in her throat. She clawed at the ground and continued to kick at the man but she could get free. His claws were digging into her legs and she finally screamed out, finding her words.
"Dean help me!" She screamed. She was pulled further and further from the entrance to the bunker, until finally she couldn't see it anymore. She doesn't know if it was from the loss of blood or from the adrenaline but all she remembered was the smell of Earth and blood, and only the sight of pitch black.
