Rick's POV

We had destroyed the house and I was looking around the room. Morty and Summer were trying to clean as quickly as they could but there was a huge hole in the house and that would take some time to fix. Grabbing my portal gun I put a portal over to (y/n)'s.

I had ended up in her room as she was gone. I looked around it as I waited. "Jesus Christ Rick why are you in my room?" turning around I stopped and looked away as she was only in a towel. "I need to take you back to the house since I have to freeze time soon and don't want you to be frozen." I said as she hummed gently.

"Well I need to get dressed so you can put these on and face the wall" she said as she handed me a pair of glasses. I put them on and everything went dark. "W-what are these?"

"They're glasses that make you blind when you wear them" she said as I heard clothes and drawers moving around. I felt a hand on my cheek as I saw light again and blinked a little. She looked at me before she threw the glasses on her bed and sighed. "Come on, we have time to freeze" she said and we were back at the garage.

I glanced over to the hole in the ceiling as saw that Morty and Summer were still working. Seeing the car pull up I shook my head as I grabbed a device from my pocket and used it to freeze time. Beth and Jerry stopped on the sidewalk up to the front door.

Your POV

I leaned out of the doorway to see that time was stopped, birds stuck in mid-air, the neighbor falling from his roof. Shaking my head I went to inspect the hole in the wall. Scratching my head I went back to the living room to see Rick telling Summer and Morty what to do. "Morty you go change out all the money in the bank with cookies, and Summer, go put a mattress under the neighbor" he said as he grabbed his flask.

"Rick you're with me, we need to go to the hardware store so I can fix the hole in the house." I said as I grabbed his hand and went into the garage as Morty did as he was told and so did Summer. Buckling up Rick started the car and I started to make a list of what I needed.

"What's on the list?" he asked as we flew to the hardware store.

"Everything to make a fucking house, 2x4s to put the studs back in the wall, drywall, drywall mud, paint and primer, a new goddamn window, shingles" I rubbed my temples as I shook my head.

"What the hell even happened?"

"We had a party that ended up making the house got trashed." he said as we landed in the parking lot.

I got out of the car and groaned. "You're lucky I've taken enough classes to be a damn contractor." Walking inside I grabbed one of the carts that were meant for plywood and started pulling around as Rick followed me. Everything was found rather easily as I walked out of the building with gallons of paint in my hands as Rick had the cart. He was being quiet the entire time we portaled the supplies home.

I glanced at Rick on the ride home and sighed gently. "What's with you?" I asked as he leaned on his door. "Wubba lubba dub dub" he said as he drove. "You know I don't know what that means, the only one that does is you and you're the only one who finds it funny. You really know how to milk things dry."

He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Just fix the damn hole in the house, I'll be in the garage" he said as I got out and slammed the garage door shut. Looking at the hole I sighed deeply as I got some of the brittle materials off and started to get to work with the rest of the materials. After working around the cock and getting the main part of the wall done. I was interrupted when I heard Rick burp.

Looking over to the older man I sighed gently. "What?" I asked as he looked up and swirled the liquid in his flask. "Dinner is ready." he said as he went back inside. I hopped off the roof and went back inside as I looked around the house. It was starting to look better but it isn't perfect yet. Sitting at the table I ran my hands through my hair.

"How's the hole?" Summer asked as I looked at the redhead. "Wubba lubba dub dub" I said as I got up and went back out to the little construction sight that I started. Getting outside I looked at the tools and materials that were scattered around. Shaking my head I looked around the yard before I kicked the drywall mud and hurt myself more than moving the container.

"That was pretty stupid"

I turned around and saw Rick as he walked over to me, stepping over piles of wood planks. Crossing my arms I looked at him. "Throwing a party with Summer and destroying your daughter's house was smart?"

He shrugged as he looked around. "You could always get the Meeseeks box to help you." Shaking my head I went up the ladder. "I would rather do it myself." I said as I started getting to work again. He watched me for a second before he came up the ladder. "Why did you use my catchphrase?" he asked as he looked at me.

I glanced at him. "What the hell does it matter? Everything is meaningless" He shook his head gently. "I've come to find that you aren't meaningless" he said as he sipped from his flask again. I sat down and sighed gently before putting the tools next to me. "How am I not? I've been told I am my entire life. Won't amount to anything" I said as I looked at the neighbor.

"You made glasses that make people temporarily blind. You're fixing the house that has massive holes in it." he said as I looked at him. Shrugging I looked at him. He put an arm over me as he pulled me over. "If anyone tells you that you're meaningless, I'll incinerate them." he said as he went down the ladder. "I don't want to ever hear you say wubba lubba dub dub again." he said as he went inside. Looking across the street and to the sun that is never going to set. Looking across the street I sighed gently as I shook my head, Summer never put the mattress under the neighbor
