"Via?!" I heard my bestfriend Katie call from the stairs. "Yea?!" I answered from my room. "You wanna go play some B-ball?" She asked as she entered my room. "Ooooooooo girl you look cute. Who you tryna impress?" Katie asked making us both laugh. "Girl you already know I'm an independent bitch." I said. "You never know. Some handsome prince could come sweep you off your feet princess" "What are we, five?" I responded with a laugh.
We walked out and grabbed our basketballs and headed for the court. When we got there, there were a couple of guys. Five to be exact. Two of them were pretty short, only a little bit taller than me, two of them were about average height, and one of them was a giant. I couldn't stop staring at the giant with his sexy dread head self.
He looked my way and I had to quickly look away. They started walking our way as we entered the court. "Hey little mama" the dread head guy said. I looked up at him shocked "You talking to me?" I asked. "Duh. Who else would I be talking to?" He asked. "I don't know but I didn't expect it to be my headass" I responded laughing.
"Aye so you tryna play some ball?" He asked. "Sure. I'm always up for whooping someone with my skills" I said.
"Aight bet. But I'm warning you, I'm pretty damn good at this game"
We began the game. We decided to play one on one. I started off going easy letting him take the first couple shots. Then I started picking up my game hitting a couple layups.
I then went for a couple three pointers and made them all. The guy was shocked. I decided to show off a little more and I made two half court shots.
Dread head just stood staring at me with his jaw dropped. The game lasted for another hour before we decide to call it. I won by 14 points.
"THAT'S MY GIRL!" Katie yelled walking over to give me a high five
"God damn babygirl. I didn't know you had it in you you" the dread head said coming up to shake my hand.
"Well you must not know me at all" I said shaking his hand
"True true, you right. I was wondering if I could get your number?"
I handed him my phone and he handed me his.
"By the way, what's your name?" I asked
"I'm Zion. What about you?" he said.
"I'm Olivia." I said smiling.
We switched back our phones and I looked at his contact name that he put.
