Chizaru: *smiles as the tune fades out* I always loved that song. Do you remember where that song came from, Nari?

Nari: *smiles and sips her tea* Yes mother. You always told me that great-great-grandfather made that melody for my great-great-grandmother to propose to her all those years ago.

Chizaru: *sighs happily* A tale as old as time. But now every woman in our family passes the box down to the next generation to ensure that the girl has good fortune in finding someone to marry.

Nari: Mother she's only nine.

Chizaru: *huffs* That's not too early to find her soulmate. Your father and I had met when we were seven.

Jonathon: More like seventeen, dear. *takes a sip of his tea*

Chizaru: You're supposed to take your wife's side, Jonathon.

Jonathon: But I'm also supposed to support my children, some fights you just can't win.

Chizaru: *scoffs* You're lucky I love you.

Jonathon: *smiles* And I love you too my queen.

Chizaru: *giggles*

Amedea and Kotaro: *look at each other, confused*

Leo: *walks into the house, setting his keys on a table by the front door* Nari I'm home! *starts to take off his coat*

Nari: *stands up from her seat and walks over to Leo* Welcome home, darling. *smiles and kisses his cheek, taking his coat*

Chizaru: Good afternoon Leonardo.

Leo: *walks into the living with Nari* Hello Chizaru, Hello Jon.

Jonathon: It's Jonathon, Leo.

Leo: *sighs* Okay then. *sits in a chair by Jonathon, smiling at Kotaro and Amedea* How have you two been today?

Amedea: *smiles* Great papa! We just played my music box!

Chizaru: *smiles* It was beautiful.

Leo: *continues smiling* That's great princess. *looks at Kotaro* How about you, son? Is Tairu finally awake?

Kotaro: *smiles lightly* Yeah, he's resting right now and-

Jonathon: *interrupts Kotaro* -is apparently your son's boyfriend according to Amy.

Leo: *suprised* What? *looks back at Kotaro* Kota is this true?

Kotaro: U-um well dad...you see. The thing is-

Nari: *quickly stands up* Dinner! I almsot forgot that dinner is ready and set up at the table so why don't we go and eat that amazing dinner Kotaro and I made for his wonderful grandparents. *grabs Kotaro's arm and rushes into the dining room, closing the door behind them*

Kotaro: *leans against the dining room door, holding his head* Oh God I have to tell my father about my boyfriend. And it's not even on my own terms!

Nari: Sweetheart, calm down. It'll be fine. How about you go get Tairu for dinner while I set everything up down here?

Kotaro: *sighs and nods* Yeah. Yeah I'll do that. *walks through a different door out of the dining room*

Nari: *groans quietly* Nobody gets under my skin like family does. *grabs some plates out of the dining room cadinet*

~meanwhile~

Jonathon: *smirks and takes another sip of his tea as he watches Nari drag Kotaro into the dining room* Turns out Amedea's claim was correct.

Chizaru: *glares at Jonathon* Jonathon Spiderwick you be quiet.

Leo: *glares at Jonathon as well* I don't appreciate these accusations of my son, Jon.

Jonathon: *scoffs and sets his cup down on the coffee table, standing up from his seat on the couch* It's not an accusation if it's the truth, Leo.

Leo: Well maybe my son just wasn't ready to tell me about it. *stands up as well* It's his choice to make.

Jonathon: *chuckles and crosses his arms over his head* Considering the fact you didn't even raise him is probably why he didn't tell you at all. The only father figure he's had is my daughter you tricked into marrying you.

Leo: I didn't trick her into marrying me! We were dating for four years!

Jonathan: Then you used your mafia mind games to get her into this disgusting family of yours!

Amedea: *whimpers quietly*

Chizaru: *holds Amedea close to her* Jonathon stop it!

Leo: *clenches his fists, gritting his teeth in pure rage* Take. That. Back.

Jonathon: My daughter doesn't deserve a life of fear with a bitch for a husband that can't even protect his own nephew

Leo: *growls* That's it! *tackles Jonathon to the ground and repeatedly punches him in the face*

Chizaru: Jonathon!

Kotaro: *walks into the living room with Tairu* Hey dad I have something to tell- *sees the two of them fighting* Dad what are you doing?! *runs over and tries to get Leo away from Jonathon, getting a hold of Leo's arm before pulling him away*

Leo: *struggling to get out of Kotaro's grip* This is adult shit Kotaro, let me go!

Jonathon: *wipes away the blood from his mouth* Yeah Kotaro, let your father prove his worth. *stands up* Even though we all know he's a puny coward.

Leo: *growls*

Nari: *rushes out of the dining room when she hears the commotion* What is going on out here?!

Jonathon: I believe your husband just attacked me for no apparent reason.

Leo: You lying son a of a bitch! *tries to tackle Jonathon again*

Kotaro: *stops Leo* Dad knock it off!

Chizaru: *huffs angrily as she stands up in front of Jonathon* Can't we have just one good visit with our daughter and grandchildren? Is that so much to ask of you?! *storms out of the living room*

Amedea: Mommy! *runs to Nari and hugs her legs*

Nari: *holds Amedea close to her, glaring at Jonathon* I think you should leave, dad.

Jonathon: *scoffs and pushes past Kotaro and Leo, walking out the front door of the mansion*

Leo: *takes a few deep and calming breathes before getting out of Kotaro's grip and walking over to Nari* I'm sorry Nari. I shouldn't have attacked your father.

Nari: *cups Leo's cheek and smiles* He deserved it. He should've known better than to insult the boss of the Hamato Family Mafia. *kisses his lips*

Leo: *smiles and kisses back, wrapping his arms around her waist*

Kotaro: *clears his throat to get their attention*

-Nari and Leo pull away from each other, looking over at Kotaro and Tairu-

Kotaro: Mom, dad, I want you to meet Tairu. He's my...b-boyfriend.

Tairu: *nervously waves at them* Nice to meet you.

Leo: *smiles lightly as he walks over to them two of them, shaking Tairu's hand* Welcome to the family Tairu.

Tairu: *smiles brightly* Thank you sir.
