Chapter 7

-Katniss's POV-

I'm hunting in the woods right now. I couldn't bring the kids until they are older. I shoot down the deer and skin it. "Ah Catnip!" I hear the voice that creeps under my skin.

I turn around and see him. He looks 16 again. Smiling, happy.

-Flashback-

I'm about to shoot down a 150 pound deer right now until I hear a voice shout "what are you going to do with that when you kill it?" Gale.

I glare at him as the deer runs off. "Sorry Catnip just playing around." He says while chuckling. I smile.

We hunt what seems like forever.

-flashback over-

A tear rushes down my cheek. I aim my bow and arrow at him. "I swear if you try Anything! And I mean ANYTHING! I will kill you right on the spot without a doubt." I threaten.

He throws all his weapons into the woods. "What do you want?" I snarl shooting down a bird. "I'm sorry." He says and I find tears in my eyes.

"What?" I whisper.

"I found a girl I really love, Madge Undersea." He says.

I forgot about Madge, she understood what I was going through.

"I'm glad for you." I say.

He nods, "I'm obviously never going to get you, you had triplets with Peeta for crying out loud. Madge is an amazing girl too." He says.

"Gale, I don't know if I can forgive you right on the spot." I sigh. "I totally understand that. I'm so sorry. I was smoking and drinking because I was so depressed my mother was dying and you didn't love me. It messed with my brain and I felt like I had to show my anger and that was the worst thing I could do." He explains.

"You could of told me that instead of hurting me but I'll think about forgiving you. I'm glad you are sorry for it though." He nods and I give him a hug.

He break away and I give him my game. He smiles "Tell Hazelle I said hi." I say and he thanks me. I stuff my bow and arrow back in my hallow tree and head back into my house. I could hear Hunter's crying.

I run upstairs and Peeta has dark circles around his eyes and rocking Hunter trying to calm him down. I take Hunter away from him and rock him for a while then he falls asleep. I put him in the crib and I put Peeta in bed and climb in his arms. He wraps them around me and I explain my day.

He is surprised about the Gale part but is also relieved. He falls asleep and so do I eventually.
