Sline pulls out a small, cylinder shaped device which shoots out a light to make it look like a hologram sheet.
It looks like every hologram device in most futuristic movie. Didn't they have something like that in Divergent. I really think I'm stuck in a movie.
Khatelina leans over to whisper to me.
"Well that's cliché" I can't help but smile because we're thinking the same thing.
"Daisy. Make your way to the red beaker. That is where you will be starting. Follow the green beakers until you reach the second red beaker on the other side. You are being timed and scored"
She nods silently. With her head down and shoulders slumped, she walks over to the red beaker.
"Begin" Sline instructs as he looks down at he's device then back at Daisy.
She jumps into the pit of green goo. It looks hard to move through but she gets out soon enough. She then runs to a part that reminds me of tires. She hops through those before she has to get on her stomach to wiggle through a winding tube. She gets out at the end huffing and slightly pink. She gets up and runs to the next challenge. A huge white wall with shapes sticking out of it. The shapes seem to shift and change every so often. Daisy only realises this when the square shape under her left foot changes into a spherical shape which makes her slip and almost fall.
Once she has finally gotten to the top of the small paltform she looks around, finally spotting the rope. She grabs it and starts climbing down but halfway she screams and and basically drops the rest of the way, she looks at her unscathed hands for a moment before moving on. Maybe it was rope burn. She moves on to harshly placed balance beams, easily clearing that, to dodges objects thrown at her to jumping over and under beams to a few meters of running to lastly... wait, what's is that? I cross my arms and furrow my brows.
Daisy stops and looks over the luminescent pink lines that shoot out of either side of the walls. She reaches out to touch one.
"I would not recommend you touch those" Sline speaks but it's to late. Her fingers just touch the glowing lights. She screams and retracts her hand. A sizzle sound is heard.
"Lasers?" I breath out "that could kill someone" I look over at Sline.
"I sapposed you're talking about the concentrated light?" I nod. "It's simple. Don't touch it" he looks back at Daisy.
"Daisy. Proceed." He types something into the small device while looking at Daisy. She looks unsure but goes on none the less. It's the most pain full thing to watch. She moves slowly and carefully, even surprising us by doing a handstand then folding back over a laser.
She finally makes it over to the other side before crossing the red beaker.
"Thank you Daisy." He types a little more as Daisy make her way to us. She's pink and panting with maybe 9 mild burns and sweat covering her brow.
She stands back at her spot. Sline looks her over then frowns.
"Why are you pink?" Here eyes widen as she stutters for an answer.
"Her body is taking blood and oxygen to the muscles that need it the most, her face is pink because of the lack of oxygen in it." Asuka speaks for the first time. Her head down and hands folded infront of her.
A/N- I have no clue why the face turns red but anyway.
He nods, looks down at the device then up at Asuka.
"Next." Asuka's eyes look fearfully over the obstacle course.
"And if she doesn't want to?" Daisy challenges.
"Every ones replaceable" he says nothing else. He looks at Asuka.
"Next"
She shuffles to the beaker and starts when instructed.
Khatelina looks at Daisy.
"How was it?"
Before she can answer, a low rumble is heard.
"Do not discuss the course until everyone has done it" Zhor speaks with a glare.
