"What?" Valencia shot up and wrapped the comforter around her.

Nikki got up as well and he restated, "I love you."

"How can you say that? This is our first date! H-how can you possibly know that?" Valencia asked rapidly.

"This maybe our first date but we've known each other for a while," Nikki reasoned.

"A while?"

"Yeah. We met in October of last year and now it's January."

"Okay, but three months is hardly a while." Valencia was freaking out. Yes, she just slept with the guy but that doesn't mean she's in love with him. He's Nikki fucking Sixx. He's supposed to be the wildest guy on the Sunset Strip. Not the guy that says "I love you" on the first date.

"I know this probably sounds crazy but when I first met you, I knew that you were different. I don't know. It just made me feel something inside. Something I haven't quite felt before. This probably sounds so stupid," Nikki managed to say.

Valencia sighed. "I know exactly what you mean."

"You do?" Nikki took Valencia's hand in his own.

"Yeah. When I met you, I thought you were really cute." Valencia laughed and turned a bright shade of red. "You have a sense about you that is quite alluring. You're quite magnetic, you know."

"Really? I like the sound of that." Nikki laughed.

The pair sat in silence for a little while.

"It's very unlikely for me to say a thing like that, especially on the first date," Nikki spoke up. "I don't want to scare you with how forward I'm being."

"It's not scary...just a but unexpected." Valencia rested her head on Nikki's shoulder.

"I don't expect you to say it back right away. Or ever, if you don't want to. I don't want to feel like I'm pressuring you or anything."

"It will happen eventually," Valencia reassured Nikki.

"I love the sound of that. It gives me hope for the future."

Valencia yawned. "I have to go to the studio tomorrow. We're recording a song that I wrote about you, actually."

"About me?" Nikki nudged Valencia.

"Yeah, it's called Dreamin' Wild. It's not the best title, so I might change it."

"No, don't. I like it."

"Really?"

"Mm-hmm," Nikki reaffirmed. "I actually wrote a song about you too after I met you. It's on our album."

"No way! Which one is it?" Valencia asked excitedly.

"Starry eyes," Nikki replied.

"Oh, I love that song!"

"I want your song to be amazing, so you should get some sleep," Nikki suggested.

"Right, of course." Valencia laid back down. Nikki quickly following suit. He wrapped his arm around Valencia and pulled her close. Valencia drifted into a deep sleep, guided by Nikki's calm and steady breathing.
