" So why Captain America exhibit" Steve asked Liana as they walked inside the Smithsonian air and space museum.
Liana stopped and looked at him, she was so done with this question "if you mean why not iron Man exhibit, it's because I live in one" Steve's jaw dropped at the sassiness of the little girl,
"also I wanted to see the place my classmates were talking about so much and I thought why not visit it with Captain America himself, it would be cooler that way" damn the kid is so much like Tony, Steve thought.
"Wouldn't your friends would have liked to come with you" he asked as they walked to the mannequins wearing howling commandos uniform, trying to distract himself, this place holds so many woeful memories for him.
She shrugged " I don't have any" Steve stopped and asked "why"
"They don't like me because I'm a stark and way more smarter than them, it's not my fault that they are so dumb" she shrugged as if to convince herself that it doesn't matter, so much like Tony always putting on a arrogant facade when hurting inside.
Steve smiled softly and bowed to her level "I'm your friend, you know that right" she smiled a brilliant smile
"Awww i know capsicle " she answered punching his chest playfully, what is it with sarcastic nicknames and Starks.
"By the way, you were really tiny" she giggled looking at the several panels displaying his life before project rebirth program.
"Oh you really think that" With a mischevious smile he lifted her and put her on his back so she was sitting on his shoulder, liana squealed with laughter.
After watching a few of other panels, He walked them to Peggy's video in which she was telling everyone about him, Steve sighed looking at her forgetting all about the world, his heart beating faster as it happened when he saw her for the first time along with stinging eyes and a lump forming in his throat.
"You must've liked her a lot" Liana said softly after the video ended, Steve was taken aback by the little girl's observation, he tried to blink back tears and clear his throat
"the way you were looking at her, it's the same uncle Tony has when he looks at pepper thinking she's not noticing".
"Yeah we- Peggy and I, we were close" Steve said after a minute.
Liana sighed and patted his shoulder "how about I treat us with ice cream" she said.
After a hour or so Liana found herself with ice cream in one hand and a bagful of other Captain America goodies in another, trying to think of ways to smuggle all of it inside her room without Tony noticing.
She nearly dropped her things when she saw a certain young man laughing with Steve in one big panel, both of them looked so happy and relaxed, Even though the man had a few bruises on his Beautiful face.

Steve looked at her and the panel and with a knowing smile " that's Bucky, he used to be my best buddy"
Liana looked at him, her chocolate brown eyes wide as she repeated his words but as a question "used to be"
Steve nodded a familiar heavy, burning and aching sensation settling in his heart, this time he wasn't sure that he could stop the tears, he took a deep breath and said "why don't we sit on that lovely bench and I will tell you all about our adventures, besides there not much left to see here" Liana nodded and they walked to the bench.
Liana was crying uncontrollably in his lap as Steve completed his story, he was now regretting the decision to share his story with her, after all she was just a kid even though she acted way more mature than her age,
not to say that Tony will definitely kill him for making his precious neice cry, as if on the cue his phone started ringing.
"Rogers why is Liana crying" Steve winced at the harshness of his tone, it was nothing like the banter they always had, he was dead serious.
"How d-"
"You seriously thought that I'll let her go with you without any supervision" okay that hurt "do you know how hard it was to stop myself when she bought so many capsicle th-" "Tony" Steve heard another voice from the background, pepper's voice.
"Okay okay, why is she crying Rogers"
"Tony I-" Liana took his phone from him and he let her cause he didn't wanted to face Tony's wrath.
Liana told Tony that she couldn't control her tears when steve shared his story with her, they talked for a few more minutes.
"You are allowed to treat me with another ice cream" she said with a small smile after hanging up.
