Chapter 93

Nightmare P.O.V

Once Shattered and I stopped training, we left the room full of bones and arrows. "So...how's your back?" I asked, "I feel better, I think I just need a stretch" Shattered said as we walked into the living room. We heard whispering from the kitchen as we walked over, the lights were off and it seemed like there was nothing there but what looked like a round box on the counter. Shattered turned on the lights and Killer, Horror, Dust, and Geno came popping up from behind the counter. "SUPRISE!" They all screamed, making Shattered jump a little, "What is this?" Shattered asked, "Well we never told you how much we appreciate you!" Horror said, "Killer said it was a good idea to surprise you with a cake!" Dust said, "I mean, I haven't had so much fun fighting and destroying AUs!" Killer said, "When I heard that they were going to surprise you, I couldn't help but join in and help with a bit of the spelling and decorations!" Geno said as they all smiled. I smirked to myself, I guessed that Shattered assumed that's why I took them down to the basement to train, as a distraction. Shattered looked suprised as he walked up to the cake. It was a chocolate cake with white frosting, it had red frosting that spelled, 'We appreciate your work!' with what looked like a picture of Shattered in the corner of the cake. "You didn't have to do this..." Shattered said, I could feel a weak positive aura coming off of him. "We wanted to do this for you. Well go on! You our leader so you get the first slice!" Horror said giving Shattered a knife and a plate. Shattered then started to get a piece of the cake and took a fork to eat it as the others took there slices. I walked away not wanting the cake as I sat down on the couch. Shattered sat next to me, still eating his cake, "Why didn't you get some cake?" He asked, "I don't really like sweets that much..." I told him, "Were you part of this plan?" He asked, "Yeah, they said to keep you out the kitchen till they were ready" I said as Shattered took another bite out of there cake. "Did they do the same for you?" Shattered asked, "Yeah, I had a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting, it said 'We appreciate you leader!' on the cake and it had a small picture of me" I told Shattered, "Really?" Shattered said, "Yeah, I have a picture of it as well!" I said taking out my phone scrolling through my photos, "Aww FUCK! I didn't take a picture of the cake!" Shattered said angrily, "Don't worry I took a picture of it!" Horror said from the kitchen, for he heard our conversation, Shattered sighed in relief, "Here! I found it!" I said as I showed him the picture, "Heh, that's a nice cake," Shattered said, "Not as good as mine but still" Shattered said making me chuckle a little. "On a serious note...Nightmare when all of this is over...a lot is going to change..." Shattered told me, "The whole multiverse will fear us...together...just like you wanted and just like what I want..." Shattered said, I nodded in a bit of sadness, "What's wrong brother? Don't you want this?" He asked, I just looked to the side messing with the thumbs on my hands, "I mean I do but..." I stopped in the middle of my sentence. Horror then came over and sat next to Shattered, "Heya!" Horror said, Shattered smiled, "Hi" Shattered said softly, "How's your back?" He asked, "It feels better! Thanks to a nice stretch" Shattered replied to Horror, "Well I'm happy that your feeling better!" Horror said as Geno left the kitchen leaving Dust and Killer, Geno came over to us, "I hope you liked your suprise" Geno said, "I did enjoyed it" Shattered said as more positive aura came out of there body, it felt like Dream was right next to me, hugging me. I almost broke into crying till I was snapped back into reality, "Are you ok with that?" Horror asked me, "W-what?" I asked, not knowing what they were talking about, "Are you ok with destroying Dreamtale before we destroy any of our homes?" Horror re-asked, I nodded not wanting to upset Shattered. Shattered smiled, "Then tommorow at midnight we will destroy Dreamtale, then Horrortale, and all of our homes at till dawn," Shattered said as Killer and Dust came out of the kitchen to us, "But for the rest of the day we will celebrate!" Shattered said as they all cheered except for Geno and me.
