When I was done doing the chores and my homework I walked up to my room and got changed into pajamas. "What will I do?" I say to myself as I pace around my room. I look outside my window from across the room when my wrist starts to suddenly burn. "Ow!" I yelp as I look at the tattoo just to find the swirly 'S' glowing. "What the heck?" Am I hallucinating?  I start to inspect my arm closer when hear a swishing sound by the window. I start to walk closer towards my window but rather slowly as I am scared to see if anyone is there. I open the curtains but only see shadows in the early night. I shake my head and walk towards my bed after making sure the window was locked. I get under the covers and get comfortable. I sigh. "My life hates me," I tell myself before I go to sleep. Wait...had I opened the window while I was cleaning?  I think to myself before I fell into a deep sleep.

(Dream)

Shady, you aren't an ordinary person. You are my daughter. And a ro...Sorry I'll tell you at the right time. Sweet dreams Shady, hope you find out soon.

(End of dream)

I jump up from bed but without a cold sweat this time. I had that dream again, well Kind of. What's wrong with me lately, maybe it's because of my moms' accident. I sigh and get up from bed to get ready for school today. Another boring school day. As I enter my high school, I'm greeted by my best friends Jessica and Nilda. Jessica has this poofy dark brown hair that's wavy and is shoulder length but looks so hard to manage but has all the character a person needs in their hair, while Nilda has straight silky dark brown hair that's slightly wavy and reaches to her shoulder blades that gives her a youthful look. They grew up with me since I was little so we've been best friends since then. When they see me they smile but with sadness in their eyes.

"Hey, how's it going Shady?" Jessica asks me in a concerned tone.

"I'm fine, just tired, I guess. I've been at the hospital these couple of days." They look at me sadly and nod understandingly.

"I'll come and visit your mom after school if I can so I can see how she is, and of course help you too," Nilda says to me. Jessica smiles approvingly. They walk with me until we reach my English class. When that class ended I went to my History class. A class which I wish would end sooner. As I sat down I noticed the teacher stand up and motion someone to come through the door. I look at the door and notice that it was a guy. A handsome one at that. All the girls around me started to whisper to each other talking about how hot he looked and how he looked like a model. His body build is descent, he looks like he has muscles but not to an extent that they look like there going to burst out at any moment or at least make him look bulky. His hair is a little bit of a mess, but in a weird semi neat kind of style that makes his dark brown hair look really good as it's rather long enough to almost touch his eyebrows. I look at his eyes and they're the most beautiful shade of green and blue. Gosh is he attractive... I then realize that I was staring for a while and snap out of it but I noticed that he was staring back at me too. I blush wildly and look away but I see him smirk right before I looked away.

"May you introduce yourself to the class please." The teacher tells the new kid. I look back and see that he nods to the teacher and looks throughout the class and starts to speak.

"Hello, my name is Pitch Night." I look at him in his eyes and notice them get darker when he said his name but as soon as he blinked they returned to normal. Okayyy weird... did anyone else notice that or am I really going nuts. I look around and see everyone just stare at him as if his eyes didn't literally change in front of them. Maybe it was the lighting?

"You may sit wherever you want." I look around and notice that there are only three seats open and that's one in the very front, and two in the back. He walks past the front desk. So the only one that he might is the one that's a desk away from mine or the one that's next to Marisa, the prettiest girl in Eleventh grade. I look down knowing that I'm no match for her and that it will never happen. Look at me I have really dark brown hair to a point that it almost looks black and it reaches to my shoulder blades. My hair is almost straight but it has a bit of a wave in them. My eyes aren't that fascinating their green and brown with a hint of black streaks in them. I completely blend into the background, and to top it all people think that I'm emo because of it, when I'm not.

When I hear a chair move I peak to see where he sat but I already know that he most likely picked the one next to Marisa, but to my astonishment, he picked the one that's a desk away from mine. I look at him and notice that he was peaking at me, but as soon as he released that I found out, he looked away. Well, that was weird...
