I wake up startled as a loud bang came from downstairs. I get up dreary but still alert as I open my bedroom door. I look across and noticed that the door were Pitch slept in was wide open. I walk to the other side and walk into the room slowly. I peek in and see it empty. At least the bed is made. I walk out and close the door behind me. Did he leave? I creep down stairs and hear movement in the kitchen. I turn the corner and peek over. I sigh as I see Pitch making breakfast. He turns around quickly, but when he noticed that it was just me he gets a confused expression on his face.

"Oh, I thought it was a shadow person, I swear I sensed one." He turns back around and continues cooking. "Do you like sunny side up or scrambled?"

"Uh, sunny side up." I say a bit calm. I start to move into the kitchen when my wrist starts burning more than usual, but not too much that makes me go all paralyzed. I look at my wrist and see the symbol glowing again. I run to the sink and turn on the cold water. I put my wrist under the water and start to feel the water to cool it down a bit. Pitch turns around and looks at me worried.

"Is something wrong? You...seem different?" He looks at my wrist that's under the water. He turns off the stove and walks to me. "Let me see your wrist." I hesitate for a while but give in. I hold out my arm and he grabs it. He looks at my symbol that's starting to fade from my wrist. So that's how it goes away. I look at Pitch's face and see him surprised. "So that's where I know it from! Y-You aren't an ordinary half shadow person...y-you. I was right." He says exited. He stops and stares at my face closely. "No way." What is he talking about?! I'm not even normal as a half shadow person?!

"So what am I, tell me?!" I say as he just kept quiet.

"Your a princess, your father is our king...They thought you where dead...I-I did too. " He looks at me surprised and full of emotions. Princes?! "How was I so blind?!" He comes to me and hugs me tightly. I stay still awkwardly. "I'm not letting you out of my sight out of protection. I would never forgive myself if you got into trouble or out of connection again."

"Can you please explain further?" I say not understanding. He lets go noticing that I was uncomfortable.

"Sorry, I'm one of many guards for your father. When I was little I would go with my father to protect you and your mother and also keep you in hiding. We used to have play dates together." He blushes lightly as he said this. "But one day on one of our daly check ups we found all the things thrown around in the house and both you and your mother missing. We found traces of your blood and your mothers leading to the street, but after that we found nothing. We searched and searched but we could not find you, its like you disappeared into thin air." I try remembering him but fail.

"I'm sorry, but I can't remember you. How old where we when you came for the check ups before the incident?" He thinks a bit.

"We where about six. Why?" I think back but come up with blurry images. But one memory stuck like glue. And that's the man the was yelling at my mother for having me, or was it because my mother was with someone? "We have great memory from the day we turn three. You should remember me unless if something traumatic happens or..."

"Or what?" I ask him after a while of silence.

"Nothing, well the way we found your house and all the damage there, something big must have caused you to forget me." He says. "A-And everyone else too of course." I nod and try to relax of all this info he just gave me. What should I do?
