"I'm telling you she's not the same"

"Bu-but how?!"I asked Merlin, not wanting to believe his words

"Morgana changed her, she used magic."

"Poor Arthur..how will we tell him?"

"I don't know..."

"If we tell him he won't believe us."

"He loves her to much."

"We have to prove it to him."

"How? We would have to be careful...Morgana is smart."

I bit my lip "How about we show him?"

Merlin nodded "We could follow Gwen, and show Arthur."

"But we'll have to use some excuse to bring him out."

"A message? Hunting? Morgana...?"

"Yes! I'll tell him that I received a message from my brother about a possible threat....um and I need him and you to come with me to see if the message is true."

"That might just work"

"It has to."

~During Dinner~

"Aveline are you alright you've barely ate." asked Guinevere with a fake worried face

My belly wanted to puke what I still had to eat. How could I have not noticed her change?

"It's well...I don't know if I should worry you with it..."

"Nonsense. What's wrong Aveline?" asked Arthur

I smiled at him at least his worry was sincere.

I sighed "I received a message from my brother...he wants to send me something...he believes it has to do with the threat my father received."

Silence.

Take the bait Arthur...please

"Well that's important...why didn't you tell us Aveline?" asked Guinevere fake worry dripping from her voice

"I barely received the note today."

"Well it seems like we should look into that....Arthur?" she turned to him

"Guinevere is right. I'll go with you to see if it's true. Where will this proof be sent?"

"Tonight. I know where, it's close to the castle."

Arthur nodded "Merlin and I will accompany you "

"Thank you Arthur!" I beamed

I was ready. Nervous but ready. I put on my cloak and awaited Merlin and Arthur. They came, swiftly down to hall to where I stood. Briefly Merlin's eyes me with mine. I wanted him to say everything was going to be fine. According to plan. I wanted him to hold me in his arms. Snap out of it. Right.

I nodded at Arthur and Merlin had asked them to follow me.

Now we made our way quietly in the forest. I put m finger to my lips, indicating them to be silent. We hid ourselves behind a large tree but we were still able to see the space bellow us. We could clearly hear and see Morgana and Guinevere.

the movement was swift, at first I didn't catch it. Arthur doubled back and tore his sword out, prepared to attack. Merlin pulled him back with all his strength. Arthur's face was filled with pain-he had been betrayed by the love of his life.

I helped Merlin and pulled on to Arthur.

"Arthur listen-you have to keep calm or the'll catch us." I whispered

Arthur turned to me, I wasn't sure if it was the moon light, but it seemed that tears were welling up in his eyes. A deep sadness tugged at me. I didn't want Arthur to feel this, to see this...but it was necessary. He needed to know. Merlin turned to me and gave me an encouraging nod. We had done the right thing. On our way back to the castle our hands met briefly-and I knew we needed to bring the real Guinevere back. What Morgana had done-was beyond morals. Sh had once again taken Guinevere from Arthur.

Now that Arthur knows the truth, we have to help him cure Guinevere...but that wont be simple. Merlin has discovered that the only way is through powerful magic-and even though I have faith that he contains such magic....Arthur does not trust magic.

I choked down the laughter as Merlin ran through some old woman clothing, searching for something that may fit him.

"It's not funny" he declared to me; the tips of his ears blazing red.

"Of course not" I smiled "Nothing funny about seeing my boyfriend dressed up as an old lady."

He shook his head but he couldn't conceal the small smile playing on his lips-he liked it when I called him my 'boyfriend'

Merlin struggled to fit a black ripped dress on himself, I rolled my eyes and helped him put it on.

"Thanks" he sighed

"No problem" I pecked his cheek.

Merlin smiled and turned to the mirror "This is embarrassing. I can't believe I'm doing this!"

"At least now you know how you could have looked as a girl"

"I would have been an ugly girl"

"Very ugly"

"Hey!"

I giggled and kissed him "But a very handsome man"

Merlin seemed a bit more content with this answer and took the dress off. I shook my head-I can't believe he has to appear as an old lady...I wonder if Arthur will recognize him...Naw probably won't. One does not see what one does not desire to see.
