"Mordred please." I begged
"Leave me alone. I know what side you are on."
"Mordred this is not about sides. She chose to hurt others. Arthur-"
"Arthur is going to kill her."
"And what about the men she killed? Mordred you cannot allow your hate to blind you!"
"I know what you are doing"
I sighed "I am trying to help you. Arthur cares about you! If he could do this another way he would!"
"DO NOT LIE TO ME!"
I felt a compressing pain erupt in my lungs. I dropped to the floor "M-mor-dr-red. Mordr-ed, p-plese s-sto-op."
Morderd's eyes closed and the pain left.
"You tell me to listen? To trust you? Merlin betrayed me."
"No-"
"Do. Not. Lie. To. Me."
Tears swelled in my eyes "I do not lie. Please just, listen. She chose her fate! She could have walked away free from this-you know this to be truth! Arthur is a just man!"
"Then why let her die!?"
"Everyone must pay for their crimes-"
"SHE WAS MY FRIEND!"
The compressing pain came back, and I desperately fought to breathe.
"S-stop!"
The pain left once more, leaving me gasping on the floor.
"Leave. I have had enough of your excuses. I will avenge her. Now leave, before I change my mind."
I blinked back the blinding tears. "Very well, I will leave. But understand this: Your actions will have consequences. I hope you are prepared for whatever they are."
Merlin held me tightly.
"What if he tells Morgana?" I cried
"Everything will be alright."
"He doesn't understand."
