I nervously pecked Merlin's cheek. I guess I'm just that kind of person that get nervous for you.
"It's alright, we'll bring her back."
I nodded and fixed the edge of his shirt "Yeah I now...just promise me you'll come back too."
He took my hand in his and brushed it with his lips "I promise."
The certainty in his voice relaxed me. "Well then you better go help Arthur and everything."
He kissed the top of my head, whispered "I''l be back in no time" and left.
Being a princess is insanely boring. I guess if I were heir to the thrown or if I were in my kingdom, I would have to be studying and doing things that my father thought best for my education. But that's not the case. I'm in camelot waiting for my boyfriend to come back from a death-near adventure. So what does a lonely and bored princes do? What her father would never permit....practice her magic. I rubbed my hands eagerly and tried to remember one of the spells Merlin had been teaching me. Recalling one that I had had particular troubles with I grabbed a cup emptied it in one gulp and set it on my bed. I took a deep breath, stretching my hand out in the direction of the cup. Ok. Clear you mind. Think only of what you want to happen.
I took a deep breath "Veraverto"
The cup shifted. I covered my eyes and shook my head. The spell had only worked half way. The cup now had feathers covering it. I was trying a transforming spell...obviously my intent of turning the cup into a bird was a fail.
"Don't think on what you want to happen-picture it."
I turned around stumbling, trying to cover the cup. My heart was beating to fast as fear ran through me. Someone had seen me preform magic.
Mordred stood silently at my now open door.
"Don't think on what you want-picture it" he repeated now shooting a nod at the cup.
I understood. He was giving me a tip on the spell.
With my hands shaking I placed the feathery cup on my bed once more. I took a step back and turned to Mordred who was watching me intensely. Oh god. What if he tells on me? What if he blackmails me? What if-no. I was born with magic. He had already seen me and there was no reason to hide it.
I stretched my hands out and visualized a small bird on my bed.
"Veraverto"I said firmly
The feathery cup shifted into a small brown bird. It tweeted twice before flying off. Mordred ducked as the bird flew over him and out the door.
We stared at each other for a while. The silence was killing me. So I broke it.
"Were you looking for me? I don't recall you or any other knight coming to my room unless something important had occurred."
"Yes. I was wondering if you knew where Merlin and the King and Queen were."
"They're most likely out ridding, they do it often."
"I meant where they really were."
"I'm afraid Morderd that I don't know what you are talking about."
He took a step towards me. His eyes were searching inside mine, making me feel very selfconscious. His eyes were a piercing beautiful blue.
"Please don't lie to me. I want to help Arthur."
His voice was so soft-so kind. He was being sincere. I just knew it.
"He-they...the queen needs help. Morgana did something to her. Merlin and Arthur left to find someone that could save her."

Fanfiction"This one seems nice." I said turning to Merlin. He nodded in agreement. His cheeks seemed a light shade of pink. Was he blushing? That's when I realized our hands were still intertwined. I quickly pulled my hand to my head pretending to fix my hair...
