Chapter 9

I wore a white t-shirt with pink skirt and coat. I curled my hair slightly and wore pink shades too. Will and I decided to do things without getting ourselves wet from water.

George and Amanda would be accompanying us for god knows what reason. We were going for a crocodile park, waterfalls and underwater submarine.

"You know, I am scared of animals," I say as we see crocodiles laying.

"Wait, seriously?" he asks looking at me and I nod.

"I mean I get tensed up and I kind of panic I guess," I say and he takes me out of the crocodile park. "Since you are scared of animals, bye Crocodile Park," he says and I laugh because he was being so nice.

"You know Vanessa, you look really pretty," he says and I smile. We went to see the waterfall and George and Amanda were still there. They were eying us suspiciously and Will noticed them. He quickly pulled me closer to him and he kissed my head and we silently watch the waterfalls.

"I am so sorry for interrupting but are you William Gifford and Vanessa Beckett Gifford?" a group of people ask as they come next to us.

"Yes," I say smiling.

"Oh my god, can I have a picture with you?" she asked and we nod. After taking some pictures we smile at each other and go to the underwater submarine.

"Will, are George and Amanda going to come with us?" I asked when they weren't near us.

"No, they left because they looked like they hit it off with each other," he says and I laugh. He had booked us our own submarine so it was just the two of us in it.

"This is so pretty," I say looking at different kinds of fish swimming around us.

"Are you scared of fish?" he asked and I look at him.

"I like looking at them but when I have to touch it, I freak out," I say and he tries to stop his laughter.

"When did you realize that you get freaked out by touching them?" he asked and I smile because he was trying to talk and connect.

"When I was little, I had an aquarium of fish. I liked putting the fish net over the fish and cover them. Once I did that, it jumped out and landed on the floor. I was so scared what my parents would say, I tried picking it up but I was so scared that I couldn't. Then I called my nanny and she put it inside. Next time, our cook went to the fish market to buy fish and I wanted to see what they do. My parents let me go with him and they strictly warned us not to taste anything because I was allergic to sea food. My cook went over and touched some fish, one of them was half alive and he put his finger in its mouth and asked me to do it. I panicked. My whole body started to sweat and I couldn't stand. He carried it and brought it near me to touch it and that freaked me out even more. I ran away from that place and that was the time I realized that I am scared of fish," I say and Will chuckles softly.

"You are an interesting woman Vanessa," he says nodding his head and he looks away.

"When did you realize that you were scared of dogs?" he suddenly asked and I was startled.

"When I was like 10 I guess, I wanted a dog because everyone had one. My neighbour had a dog. My mom and she were close friends, so she took me to meet her dog because she wanted me to know how to take care of one. I started chasing after that dog and well it got pissed off and it jumped on me and that's how I am scared of dogs," I say and he laughs even more.

"You know I have never seen you laugh so much," I say and he smiles.

"You look good when you smile. You should smile more often," I say and his cheek becomes slightest shade of red. We both keep quiet and observe our surrounding.

Will helps me get down the submarine as we come out and I thank him.

It was evening by the time we went back to our hotel. We decided to go for dinner and they were having a karaoke night.

"Will come on," I say grabbing his hand but he laughs and refuses.

I grab a microphone and start singing Fight song by Rachel Platten because why not? Few people join me when I sing girls like you by Maroon 5. We sang Sugar by Maroon 5 too and everyone cheered for us.

"Come on Will," I say and he gets up and everyone cheers for us. We choose Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran because why not?

"When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet," I sing and I stop.
"Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheek," he sings and I was impressed. He was doing well.

"And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70," I sing and stop grinning.
"And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23," he says and looks at me.
"And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand," I say and stop.
"Oh me I fall in love with you every single day
and I just wanna tell you I am," he stops and looks at me indicating that the next verse we are singing it together.

"So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are," we sing and he stops. I look around and people were dancing. Wow!

"When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don't remember my name
When my hands don't play the strings the same way, mm
I know you will still love me the same," I stop and he smiles before continuing.

"'Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it's evergreen
Baby your smile's forever in my mind and memory," he says and we nod before singing the next verse together.

"I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it's all part of a plan
I'll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you'll understand," I stop and he still continue coming next to me and grabs my waist.

"But baby now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are, oh," he says as we sway together for the music.

"So baby now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Oh darling, place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are," he says as he kisses my forehead.

"Oh maybe we found love right where we are
and we found love right where we are," we end and everyone cheers for us and I hug Will.

"That was amazing," I say as I hug him and he rubs my back.

"Now Everybody by backstreet boys," I say and everyone cheers. I mean everyone joined us for that song and people were taking pictures and videos of us.

"Look at what all you make me do Vans," he says as he dances along and I laugh. It was honestly an amazing vacation.
