Chapter 11
Liam and Aura have hit it off and are dating now. Well thanks to me, I made them meet. It has been a week and we haven't gotten any news or message about our competition.
I was meeting Will and his friends for lunch today so I decided to wear something nice. I wore grey crop top with black skirt and black over the knee boots with heels and my blue bag and I was ready.
I drove to the restaurant Will told earlier and it looked cute. It was far enough from the city because we didn't want people crowding us.
"Nessie meet my friends, Elijah Edwards, Mason Cox, Ethan Brown and Martin Davis," he says introducing me to his friends and I smile.
"Nice to meet you Elijah, Mason, Ethan and Martin," I say shaking their hands and they laugh.
"Vanessa, stop being so formal. Come here," Mason says and he pulls me into a hug and before I know it, we all were in a group hug.
We pull apart and sit down at a table. Will sat next to me, Elijah sat next to Will and Mason, Ethan and Martin sat opposite to us.
"Vanessa, I saw yours and Will's dance video. It was amazing. I mean the way you danced and I have never seen Will dance in his life, even during prom," Elijah says and I look at Will.
"Thank you Elijah and I am making him do things he has never done. When we were in Mauritius, we sang," I say and they laugh.
"Wow Will, something is happening to you man," Mason says hitting his arm and we all laugh.
"I have heard that you have amazing fitness Vanessa," Martin asks and I gave him a smile and I nod.
"Well, kind of. I love being in shape," I say and he gave an impressed nod.
"You do Weight lifting and boxing too right?" he asked and I nod.
"How much is the maximum weight you have lifted," he asked and everyone looked at us.
"80 kg," I say and they gasp.
"No offence but you are petite and well strong too," Ethan says and I laugh slightly.
"None taken," I say and Will stands up to take a call.
"I know that your both got married out of no choice. I know that Will doesn't like long term commitments but how did you make him like you?" Martin asks and everyone leaned in to listen to my answer.
"When we got married, he was so arrogant and rude to me but I was being nice to him no matter what he did. He made it very clear to me that he didn't want to get married to me when he first met and I ignored it. He asked me to fake love between us and I did. When we went t0 Mauritius for our honeymoon, something changed and he was being nice to me. We became friends and well he is what he is now," I say and they all nod together.
"Do you know about him and-," Mason starts but Elijah hits his arm to shut him up.
"Penelope, yes I do. Even before we got married. I knew that he was sleeping with her behind my back even after we got married," I say smiling sadly and they all looked shocked.
"He is a womaniser, don't worry Vanessa. Did he hit on someone in front of you?" Elijah asks hugging me and I sighed.
"Yeah in Mauritius, he introduced me to some guy called George and girl, Amanda. George hit on me and when I told Will, he asked me to fulfil his needs. We went for dinner, all the 4 of us and well Amanda was..... doing something beneath the table and well you know what," I say and they looked disgusted.
"Anyways, I confronted him that night and the next day onwards he didn't talk to her and well our friendship began," I say and a slight smile appeared.
"Is he still messing with Penelope behind my back?" I ask because it was haunting me.
"No, not anymore," Ethan says and a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I smiled because I was happy that he wasn't cheating on me.
"Vanessa, are you in love with Will?" Elijah spoke softly as Mason, Ethan and Martin were talking about something else among themselves and Will was still talking to someone.
"Yeah. I fell in love with him but I am so terrified that he will go and screw some other women behind my back," I say and he shakes his head.
"No Vanessa, he cares for you, a lot actually. I think he likes you because he is ignoring Penelope no matter what she is doing. Don't worry, I have known him for so long and I haven't seen him so happy with a girl," he says and Will comes back. I give Elijah a quick grateful smile and look at Will.
"Nessie, my dad wants to talk to you about the business thing you spoke to me about," he says and I stare at him with my eyes wide open.
"William Gifford, I asked you to keep it to yourself. You are such an asshole," I say hitting his arm and everyone laughs.
"That I am but it was a great idea. I had to," he says so adorably that I wanted to kiss him so bad.
"Hey meet you guys later," Will says as he holds his hand out for me and I take it.
"Bye guys. It was nice meeting you," I say hugging each one of them and they smile and hug.
We wave them good bye and head to his parent's house.
"Eric, how are you?" I ask hugging him and he hugs me back. I was close to Will's family too and they were very happy that we are getting together well.
"Vanessa, I am good. Come in," he says leading the both of us in. I see my mom and dad sitting too and I was surprised because I didn't know that they would bee coming.
"Daddy and momma what are you doing here?" I ask as they hug me.
"Well Will told us about your idea and we decide to come here to support you," my dad says and I look at Will. He shrugs his shoulder and we sit down.
"So Vanessa, Will has told us that you have had an idea to open your line of clothing company," Eric says and I nod.
"So I thought why not do it under our company? I have seen you work and you are honestly amazing. So why don't you start your own line under our company in that way, it's a win for all of us," he says and everyone agreed to it.
"Ok but we need a CEO I guess," I say and Eric narrows his eyes.
"Vanessa, you have improved your work and you will be the CEO of your line. What is your line going to be called?" he asked and I start thinking.
"Call it 'Vanessa Beckett Gifford'. It sounds like a high brand too," Will suggested and we all agreed.
"Vans, we will open your line as soon as possible, probably by the end of this week. Until then think about the kind of clothes you want to launch," Eric says and I nod.
"Thank you so much," I say and he smiles.
"Have dinner and then go home," Flora says appearing and I look at Will.
"Sure mom. We would love to," he says looking at me and I smile. Dinner was already made for us so all we had to do was sit at the table and wait for it to be served.
