Once there was two giggling girls that were inseparable. Now, there are two depressed teens. One with trust issues. The other with an identity crisis.

The one with trust issues was once a optimist little girl with a giant imagination and a pure heart. Her pure heart was shattered by the girl with an identity crisis. It was shattered when the girl with identity crisis didn't want to be friends anymore.
The girl with trust issues thought it was all her fault. She didn't want that hurt ever again. She closed herself off. No one paid any attention to her pain. Such a silly thing had left permanent scars. For years, the girl with trust issues didn't try to make friends. When she tried, no one saw her.
Her scars grew through the years. She became suffocated by life and she couldn't be happy. She fell, but no one cared. They didn't even notice. She was stuck, nothing was real. She was slumped, eventually she felt nothing.
She scratched, pinched, wrote hateful things, and chocked just to feel. Eventually she just felt like giving up. She was close to, but a glimmer of hope appeared.
The glimmer seemed stupid but it was everything. A boy near the girl's age caught her eye. She crushed hard until she grew to see more than a glimmer. She learned to survive with your scars still bleeding.

The girl with an identity crisis wanted to fit in. She was known by everyone. She had no visible enemy. Except, of course, the enemy inside.
It picked at her every day. Saying in it's poisoned candied voice, "You not good enough."
The words seeped into her. Changing her into someone everyone would love. No one noticed the difference. She cried every night because no one knew her. She walk around carrying years of self doubt. She was strong to everyone, even though they didn't know how strong. High school slapped her in the face. This sent her to the floor with all her weight crushing her. She would not be defeated that easily. She stood tall and retaliated by changing schools.
This new school allowed her to be herself. She was free. It took time but she realized who she was.

The girl with trust issues now has so many friends.

The girl with an identity crisis is happy with herself.
