Black. That was the only this around. Charlet's eyes fluttered open in a dark void. She was floating in an uneasy silence. She tried to call out in some sort of desperate attempt to get out, but no noise arose from her voice. She tried to move, but was stuck in the air.

A sudden buzzing rang in her ears. It was weak and barely noticeable. It was there for a minute before fading out. Charlet glanced around only able to move her eyes. She glanced to her right and saw black. She glanced to her left and saw the same. She looked up and saw something in the distance. She wasn't sure what.

Suddenly she began to fall the thing did as well. The buzzing returned only as she fell farther it got louder and more clear. It wasn't merely buzzing, it was a voice, more so multiple voices over lapping one another to make one voice.

"So it has finally come. You two are here." The voice said in a somber tone. Charlet looked around confused only seeing herself there. She was about to ask what it meant, but a hand appeared pointing at the figure who was now floating closer.

As it got closer Charlet saw it was a boy. She noticed how sickly he looked. He was still knocked out he looked like he had been bleeding. His black hair was matted and there was a very visible bump on his head.

"Young warrior, heed my advice. You are to enter a dangerous land full of many vicious enemies." The voice said. "Your mission is to protect him."

"But why?" Charlet asked "this doesn't make any sense! One minute I was at my house and the next I'm here!" She was staring to get frustrated.

"You were chosen. It is your destiny. Fail and you will not live. They will find you, and it will not be pretty." It said. Charlet felt something at the back of her mind saying she shouldn't argue. She might as well see this through. She figured it was a dream and she'd wake up eventually.

"Fine, what am I supposed to do to protect him? The best I can to is shoot a bow." She sighed still unsure about this.

Four orbs appeared in front of her. One blue, one green, one red, one black. "You must pick. Blue, the power of the sky. Air will bend to your will. Flight, however limited, will be there for a quick get away. Green, the power of the plants. Plant manipulation to attack and shield. A healing property, while not able to heal completely, stops bleeding and gives strength to the one its used on. Red, the power of the planet's core, a ball of fire and metal. Taking certain chemicals from the air makes fire manipulation. A body strong enough to block certain hits. And finally, black, the power of space. Capable of creating a vacuum to leave your enemies paralyzed for a quick kill or get away." It finished its explanation. Once it finished speaking the orbs began to spin around the redhead girl and a word forms in front of her letter by letter. She spells it out loud.

"C-H-O-O-S-E. Choose." She said.

"Yes choose one to take with you on your journey. Choose wisely. The rest will be given to companions you will meet later down the line. One given to him" The hand appears again and points at the boy. "You will be in charge of these orbs. Let him choose like you will." The orbs stop spinning and stay still in front of the freckled girl.

"So I just choose one and gain it's power?" She asked.

"Yes."

Charlet thought and glanced at the orbs. "Well if I'm going to be protecting someone this is the obvious choice." She said and reached for the green orb. The orb began to glow brightly. Once Charlet grabbed the orb a blinding light flashed and she passed out for a split second only to awaken to a dark forest. Fireflies glowing and flying around. Many flowers scattered around the clearing. A peaceful air around.

Charlet glanced to the side to see the boy still unconscious. Charlet stood up only to feel something on her back. A bow and quiver complete with arrows.

Charlet walked over to the boy and looked at the bump on his head. He was obviously still alive. She sighed "I guess here goes nothing, I wish they explained how to use this..." she trailed off. She put her hands over the wound on the boy's head and began thinking about healing him. Her eyes began to glow green unbeknownst to her and she saw the bump shrink rather quickly. After a bit the bump was gone and she put her hand down she began panting and she slumped over slightly.

The boy next to her groaned and shifted. She looked at him to see Onyx eyes staring into her now brown ones. He looked afraid and confused.

"Where am I and who are you?" He asked he began coughing violently from the stress.

"Hey, hey. Calm down I just saved your life." Charlet said glancing at where the bump was. He glared at her suspiciously before signing.

The boy glanced around the area. His eyes widened at what surrounded them. "I know this area..."
